This will, of course, be almost 100% script dependent, but I like the concept, especially for Keanu. The writer/director, Victor Levin, only has one prior film credit. Looks like he's mostly done TV work.

If this was the 90's it would be a big deal.

I assume it has to a Netflix or direct to video release since Ryder would not be a featured star in a theatrical release.

The mountain lion bit made me laugh. :lol:

The acting seemed a bit stiff in the trailer but they were also the two worst performances in Bram Stoker’s Dracula, so what do I expect.

Despite that, I do like both Keanu and Winona so I’ll watch this assuming reviews are mostly positive.

that did look pretty good. i know he plays/acts/sounds/looks the same in virtually every role, but i love the guy and love the resurgence of Ryder. always liked her. looked better here than in ST...

The last time I saw her in a movie she was stabbing herself in the face with a nail file, so an improvement there also.

This actually looks entertaining. The movie seems to do a great job of playing off Winona's neurotic, overly emotional persona against Keanu's unaffected, robotic style of delivery. They make a cute couple.

This actually doesn't look half bad.

Keanu's stoic acting works here as his character doesn't seem to be impressed with anything and is basically a miserable person. This feels like an anti-rom-com.

I'm sorry, those "extras" in the background of the first scene in the airport were too distracting for me. I don't think any of them even blinked during the exchange and it seemed really awkward how everyone was so wooden in the background. :lol::lol:

They'd already reunited in Linklater's A SCANNER DARKLY. Both were terrific in that film.

I re-watched it and noticed the same thing.

Extras need to simply be and not take any attention away from the main characters/scene. However, them being totally frozen in their awkward positions has the opposite effect.
