I've been hunting for various easter egg and references articles, this one is pretty good:

Saw it again this morning because I already had a ticket and planned to see it with friends today.

I may be alone, but to me the fat kid really hurts and drags this movie. I still didn't find him particularly interesting or any of his lines particularly funny this time around. Empathetic, sure, due to the story but they still cast the wrong kid for this. This time I just wanted Cable to fucking plug his ass asap, especially during those final 20 minutes which really drag.

I wonder if Hugh Jackman filmed that Wolverine cameo at the end specifically for the movie, or if it was footage pulled from other X-Men movies...

Pretty sure it was footage from X-Men Origins: Wolverine

You know what makes Deadpool 2 drag? Deadpool. I loved the movie but I do think Deadpool dying and not dying at the end was the worst part of the film. IMO

That and I thought he broke the 4th wall a few too many times. Once or twice is funny. They overdid it. Still a solid movie though.

Great fun. The humor is the high point. The action is supplementary.

Best joke was Deadpool fixing the timeline at the end. Especially the Green Lantern script bit.

If you enjoyed the first one you should enjoy this one. More of the same. I appreciated that they kept the story personal. I thought there might be something bigger coming. Then it was all about the kid.

I missed the Brad Pitt cameo. I assumed it was someone famous when he hit the power cables. But it went too quick for me.

I figured the X-Force was doomed. But expected it to happen after the operation.

Honestly I don't have many issues with the movie. Yea, the "fat kid" didn't come across well at all and seemed heavily miscast.

Domino was the best part of the film IMO.

That's awesome.

Also: I'm not sure if it was exact or not but when he was regrowing his lower half it looked like he was wearing Chunk's shirt from the Goonies. Will have to check it out again.

A lot of the early video reviews I've seen kept on talking about how great he was, but I sure didn't see it. He was the only negative thing about the movie for me.

...Other than Shatterstar not being Longshot!

Dude, like 60% of the dialogue was drowned out by laughter during that entire sequence!

A fourth wall break inside a fourth wall break? That's like ... 16 walls!

Probably just residual love from Hunt for the Wilderpeople.

Yup, "hey big guy...sun's going down real low..." still laughing every time I think of that and it's two hours later.

Re: Deadpool 2 (Leitch, 2018) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

Just got out of it. I liked it but I didn’t love it. The first is definitely better overall. The jokes are a mixed bag, when they land they really land but some are just kinda not funny. Also felt like Brolin was good as Cable but it felt like it took too long to set up his character in ways. The film starts out strong and comes together well during the last half hour or so, but I’d say there’s kind of a lull in the middle. It was cool seeing Juggernaut and that was a well hidden surprise. Also thought the end credits scene was pretty great like a lot people have been saying. Overall worth seeing and I’ll check it out again and own it eventually but first impressions are it’s not as good or fresh as the first. I’d probably give it like 3.5/5.

Fuck. Here I sit in the theater. About an hour into the movie, and the projector broke. Either that or this is a pretty fucking dark ending.

Did anyone besides me feel like the prison seemed a bit like the one in Escape Plan with Stallone/Schwarzenegger? I almost thought that's what it would be because it had a similar layout and similar cells.

Saw this earlier today and I agree with you on both points.

While it was great to see Fire Fist (who was in X-Force #1) on-screen, I didn't particularly find Julian Dennison's depiction of him interesting, if anything it felt extremely repetitive.

The finale felt that way for me too, when it should have been exhilarating (like some of the earlier action scenes), it felt like it went on a bit too long.

Even with those issues, I felt the film was still very fun, though I didn't like it was much as the first film.

Yeah the fat kid was annoying. I wouldn’t have cared if he was taken out by Cable and somewhat expected it. I didn’t even find him that empathetic honestly. We only saw a brief flashback of him getting tortured.

I wasn't wild about it. Liked the trialers more than the movie. Had some funny bits but didn't really care for it as a whole. Didn't really understand this Cable character at all. And yeah the heavy kid was just annoying. Loved Domino though.

Re: Deadpool 2 (Leitch, 2018) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

I enjoyed it but it definitely isn't as good as the 1st movie. It took too long to get going. Basically nothing worth while happens until we see Cable. There were some great lines and gags, but I don't think I laughed as hard as when I saw the original. I will say the mid credits scene was probably the most original and hilarious scene anyone has done yet.
