Agreed, but I liked having a different story with Banner/The Hulk I thought it made it more interesting and we will likely see more of it next year. I also helps we just got an awesome Hulk movie disguised as a Thor movie.

So it's like the complaints of Hawkeye not being in it and Cap having little screen time. I'm sure they'll get their due next year.

Agree, but like most people think it will probably be his last time. I hope not however.

Cap will sacrifice himself for all... just watch

i watched the movie a second time this weekend. I have a big feeling from when Vision was talking about sacrificing himself. The camera panned on Cap alot.

Well, and he's the one always talking about not sacrificing anyone.

Cap is easily the most "heroic" of all the Avengers. That combined with his contract means that IW is probably his swan song and he'll die to save the universe. Which is a pretty fantastic arc from The First Avenger.

I just see it going down. He has nothing left behind. Iron man will try to not let him do it but Captain will save them all. Gives Bucky the chance to be Captain America.

Then i forsee(given the rights of FOX) Galactus appears at the end

They must have shot that trailer way early in the editing process. I noticed many differences from the feature film. For one, the trailer makes it look like Tony Stark is asking Gamora "what's his name again" and she responds "Thanos". But in the movie, Bruce tells Tony about Thanos.

Also, Spiderman says "I'm Spiderman" differently to Doctor Strange in the movie.

And when Starlord tells Tony that his plan sucks, Tony has a different reaction than the trailer.

I probably watched the trailer 50 times before the movie so any difference stood out for me. lol

Wasn't there also a scene in the trailer where Thanos delivers a bone-crushing blow to Iron Man and IM just crumbles to the ground? Because it was such a cool shot, I kept looking for that in the movie but never saw it.

Re: Avengers: Infinity War (Russo Bros., 2018) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

The Russo brothers talked about how Out of Sight and 3 Days of the Condor influenced Infinity War. I've never seen 3 Days (plan to) but rewatched Out of Sight last night. It's one of my favorite films from the 90s and I enjoyed it as always but couldnt see any connection (tone, script, characters, etc) between it and Infinity War. Anyone got anything?

Joe Russo admits that people have misinterpreted their inspiration choices in the past. For “Infinity War,” for instance, films like “Out of Sight” weren’t used for plot or character inspiration but as an “organizing principle for tone.” Joe elaborates on the term by saying the inspiration can be seen “in terms of what the world is that we’re creating, and what rules we’re playing by.”

“It’s really as inspiration for narrative imagery,” Joe added. “These movies are so complex you need a unifying peace, or a sense of cohesion, and that cohesion can come from a narrative construct that you can apply all the characters to. It’s hard to find movies with this many characters; you can look at Altman films, which have a tendency to be more veritθ. Where we found “Two Days In The Valley”, which really had a narrative thrust to it, and had an energy that we were looking for.”

Re: Avengers: Infinity War (Russo Bros., 2018) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

Thanks! Still don't see the Out of Sight inspiration but that's way more than what I had. Before seeing the film I thought maybe they'd take the distinct color palates that Out of Sight does so well for different locations/times but it doesn't really, I guess more so than most MCU films but that isnt saying much.

Thought they said Condor but haven't seen Two Days in The Valley either so got some movies to watch.

Condor was an inspiration for TWS.

Out of Sight had a lot of jumping around by locations and changed color palette when it did so. So maybe they looked at that as a way to help balance all the narratives.

I think Winter Soldier had more of the 3 Days vibe.

Also Out of Sight does a really good job of bringing separate stories together.

wouldn't that be false advertising to show something in trailer that is not in movie? there are laws against that. if a kid wanting to see The Hulk in Wakanda fighting and only get Hulkbuster suit and really no Hulk at all in movie, that kid would be disappointed and could technical sue, no?

Tons of trailers have scenes and alternate cuts/line deliveries that aren't used in the final movie.

And a lot of times, a movie isn't even close to being fully cut/edited by the time the trailers come out.

They could sue, they would just be laughed out of court and responsible for legal fees.
