I feel like Disney is leaving an ass-ton of money on the table by throwing this to Disney+ directly since that already appears like it's going to be huge haha, but it does look slight. Wonder if the runtime is more inline with the original (86 minutes) or bloat it up like most of them.

Watched it last night. It wasn’t too bad. I think I enjoyed it more than The Lion King remake. This, at least, feels justified to exist ... beyond the $1b+ box office TLK had.
It looked good in 4K and I really liked the production design. The animation of the dogs talking was a bit wonky.

Is there any reason that it isn't showing on the Kids' channel? I mentioned in the D+ thread that other PG rated animated films are listed there. Is there anything objectionable or is it a film appropriate for all ages?

Obvious doggie style jokes aside... no, I don’t think so.
Edit: maybe a scene involving a rat and a baby? But I doubt it.

I'm really surprised they just dumped this on D+. I mean, I get the fact that I'm sure it will help get some subscriptions, but I would also think it would do some big business in theaters and then on video. I guess someone crunched the numbers and decided that Dumbo was a better bet for theaters than this.
