Buck Ferguson (Josh Brolin), famous for hunting whitetail deer, plans a special episode of his hunting show around a bonding weekend with his estranged son, Jaden (Montana Jordan). With trusted - but hapless - cameraman and friend Don (Danny McBride) in tow, Buck sets out for what soon becomes an unexpectedly epic adventure of father-son reconnection in the great outdoors. The comedy from "Eastbound and Down" director Jody Hill premieres March 10th at SxSW and will launch on Netflix July 6, 2018.

Eh figured it'd be a pass based on synopsis, but trailer made it seem like it might be alright.

FWIW, there wasn't enough funny in the trailer for me to give it a go.
JB is always worth a watch, but this time around I think I'll pass...unless there is a lot of Thumbs Up reviews from forum members.

I have already seen 3 Brolin movies in theaters in the past few months, including Sicario 2 today. Then I come home to find out about this. Where will he be next?

The New York Times has called this "the Summer of Josh Brolin," as if everyone went to see DEADPOOL 2 and AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR because he was in them.

Umm not to be that guy but I can't help it. Is that a recent pic? Because if you see him in DP2 that is not the same guy and he lost all that muscle very soon... and the GF would be pissed to see it. She thinks he is smoking hot like Thor. Ugh...

Watched this Friday night. It's nowhere near the level of hilarity of Eastbound and Down, but still amusing. The characters in this one are a little more likable than the ones in typical outings by this bunch. Unsurprisingly , McBride provides most of the funny.
