I actually think that cutting back and forth in time hurt the movie for me, not because it was hard to follow but felt off with the pacing.

Coco won because it was the best (imo) and most mainstream of the nominees. Breadwinner was okay, Ferdinand and Boss Baby shouldn't be nominated and Loving Vincent was arthouse fare that only really worked if you're really into van Gogh.

I still liked Common better in John Wick 2.

I wonder how Oprah feels about them entering the movie theater during her scene and interrupting the film at that point to do that candy stunt.

And why was the audience there skipping the Oscars to watch A WRINKLE IN TIME? Seems like the wrong bunch of moviegoers for the Oscar ceremony to be thanking, given their complete lack of interest in the Oscars.

Only highlight of the night for me is Kim Morgan smooching on Guillermo Del Toro.

Or that Pixar is a household name and has been (usually) the company to beat since the 'Best Animated Feature' Award first started in 2002.

Since then they've been nominated for the category 11 times and took home the Oscar 9 times.

Did you expect for the Oscars to not be predictable?

Speaking of diversity, I really liked that diversity montage.

Can't believe this is James Ivory's first Oscar.

Chadwick Boseman talking about fences, where the fake country his characters ruled had an invisible fence of sorts, interesting choice.

I’m surprised James Ivory never won before.

Michael Stuhlbarg pulled a John C. Reilly and is in 3 of the BP films - although the odds were tougher for Reilly as there were only 5 films nominated for BP at that time (9 nominated this year).

Chalamet is in 2 BPs.

This was my first thought as well, these guys aren't even watching the Oscars, and it's not like it's time delayed in LA or anything.

Also they must have loved Gadot continually saying it was much better to be there than at the Oscars.
