Short was terrible but the credits were amusing... this franchise just needs to wrap it up. There's nowhere to go with it other than they totally take over and Planet of the Apes done did that.

EXCLUSIVE: For Jurassic World 3, Universal Pictures will bring back original Jurassic Park stars Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum to star alongside Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, sources said. Colin Trevorrow is back to direct and production starts early next year.

Following the recent trend I assume this will be a direct sequel to the original Spielberg film. Ignoring all the sequels.

I could have sworn when the first JW came out that Trevorrow said as much in an interview. He wrote JW as if TLW and JPIII didn't exist, and JW was essentially a sequel to the original. Of course, it's nearly impossible to find that quote now.

I really liked Jurassic World and the best thing about Fallen Kingdom was the ending with dinosaurs loose in the world. So I’m excited for what’s next and it’s cool to have the original stars back too.

Pretty sure he said it was a sequel that just didn’t need to acknowledge those two, but the events still happened.

99.99% certain they will never address the dinos loose around the world, nor trying to catch them. It'll be another island. It's always another island.

Jake Johnson, Omar Sy to Return for New 'Jurassic World' Movie
FEBRUARY 13, 2020 3:00PM by Borys Kit
The pair was last seen evacuating the island in 2015's 'Jurassic World.'
Jake Johnson and Omar Sy are returning to the land of the dinosaurs.
The actors have signed on to reprise their roles from 2015's Jurassic World for the latest installment of the rampaging prehistoric superlizards movie series being made by Universal and Amblin Entertainment.
The two will join franchise stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in the new project, which also sees Jurassic Park players Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum returning to the dino-series. Also on the roll call are Mamoudou Athie and DeWanda Wise.
Colin Trevorrow, who helmed Jurassic World, is back as director after sitting out 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
It is unknown what the plot has in store for Johnson and Sy’s characters. In Jurassic World, Johnson played scene-stealing Lowery Cruthers, a sardonic control room operator on the Jurassic Park theme park island who was ready to give his life to save others. Sy portrayed Barry Sembene, a velociraptor trainer and colleague of Pratt’s character. Both of them made it off the island alive.
Universal has set a June 21, 2021, release date. Universal senior vp production Sara Scott is overseeing on behalf of the studio.
Johnson, who was one of the stars of the long-running Fox show New Girl, voiced Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and currently stars on ABC’s Stumptown. He is repped by UTA and Jackoway, Austen.
Sy is the French actor who starred in the worldwide hit The Intouchables. While he has been working in France, he has done voicework in films such as Transformers: The Last Knight and Arctic Dogs. Sy is repped by CAA and Adequat.

I love Johnson. In everything, from New Girl to his movies, including the sublime Drinking Buddies with Olivia Wilde. Great little movie. Have yet to see new JW movies however...

Fallen Kingdom was so awful I don’t even know if I’ll see this third one theatrically if at all. I got rid of my copy of Jurassic World on Blu-ray a while back when sifting through the collection.
