This is shockingly a pretty big hit for BH. $78M opening and $131M worldwide. I guess all the “Churners” cancelled Peacock
and actually went to the theater. I still need to watch this today. I guess this really is a huge video game IP that drew interest.

Yeah my teenager is a fan of the IP and said he had been waiting "his whole life" for this movie to come out. He went Friday night with friends and loved it.

Many of these young people play the games, but a LOT of them watch videos of other people playing the games. Then they make reaction videos. Then they make videos deep diving into the lore. Then they make fan fiction videos and fanfic art videos and reaction videos to those videos.
The deep dive on a game like this goes way far down. My kids have never played this. But they've watched tons of videos like I mentioned here. They're very aware of FNaF without playing a single second of the games.
I don't know if this is good or bad, it just is how young people dive in to what they like now.

Also if you go down the toy aisles there’s quite a bit of merchandise for Five Nights at Freddy’s. It definitely has a fanbase.

Yeah, my kid is one of those that's into the lore but doesn't really play them much. According to him there's over 7 main games and a handful more mini-games, so there's a ton of lore to dive into.
Apparently, they even changed who was in the suit at the end

I'm kinda glad I read all the bad reviews, because my bar was set real low for this
I went with a friend who I haven't seen in person for a while, and we both enjoyed it. It could have been scarier, and some of the set up seemed to drag, but it was a fun movie nonetheless.

Yeah, I think I'm good skipping this.
Also, I have no idea who that cameo is supposed to be.

This just popped up on my YouTube feed.
I know I say I don't care about FNAF, but my sister won't shut up about it and I need a safe space to vent. (I may kill myself if they ever make a movie about The Back Rooms, or whatever the hell that other game that's got her obsessed is called.)

Watched this on Peacock tonight. I’m aware of the games but have never played them and didn’t really know much about the storyline/lore. I kind of liked the movie for what it was personally.
I was really confused for a long time but once things got explained more it made some sense. A bizarre movie and premise but given that I really had no expectations I didn’t hate it.
I liked the cast and the setting plus the puppet work was cool. The dream sequences kept me interested in what was happening too.
I’d watch a sequel which I’m sure is bound to happen with how well the film has done.

I think I got away with not having to take the kids to this. They haven't mentioned it since it came out and we don't have Peacock. Oh, well!
