Experience a terrifying new chapter in the legendary Hellraiser series when Hellraiser: Judgment arrives on Blu-ray (plus Digital), DVD, Digital, and On Demand February 13 from Lionsgate. The tenth film in the classic horror series tells the story of three detectives as they struggle to solve a horrifying murder, but instead find themselves thrust into the depths of Pinhead’s hellacious landscape. Including horror icon Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare), it was written and directed by Gary J. Tunnicliffe (Hansel & Gretel). |
Re: Hellraiser: Judgment (2018, D: Tunnicliffe)
I used to have III, IV, V, and VI but ultimately sold them. Still have the 1st Hellraiser and Helbound: Hellraiser II which I feel are classics, but I lost interest after that, now they've gone and made another one...-rolleyes-

I don't think the world needs another Hellraiser movie but fuck it, I'll be watching.

Re: Hellraiser: Judgment (2018, D: Tunnicliffe)
Looks yucky.
Hellraiser was probably the first gross/disturbing horror movie I ever saw. Now the "torture porn" movies make Hellraiser look tame. |
Re: Hellraiser: Judgment (2018, D: Tunnicliffe)
I made it 45 seconds into that trailer before giving up.
Honestly, this series either needs a PROPER reboot or to be shelved entirely. Currently hot on the idea of the latter. |

Well its a movie.

Re: Hellraiser: Judgment (2018, D: Tunnicliffe)
looks better than I thought. I wish Bradley was playing Pinhead tho.

Re: Hellraiser: Judgment (2018, D: Tunnicliffe)
I get a Saw vibe from the film.

Re: Hellraiser: Judgment (2018, D: Tunnicliffe)
I was never a fan of this series and I love horror. I think I made it through part three, but it's been years.

Re: Hellraiser: Judgment (2018, D: Tunnicliffe)
I must be the only one who liked Hellraiser 4 (PinHead in Outer Space).

Re: Hellraiser: Judgment (2018, D: Tunnicliffe)
No way. Bloodline rules.

Re: Hellraiser: Judgment (2018, D: Tunnicliffe)
I liked Bloodline - I wish we could see Kevin Yagher's original cut, though. I hope Scream Factory puts that out someday. I think Inferno is the best of the DTV sequels, IMO.

Hellraiser, and Hellbound were excellent. Bloodline was flawed but definitely entertaining and interesting. I don't know why most of the sequels were so unambitious and unimaginative. In the Epic Comics series, they explored and expanded the Hellraiser mythos and were way better than most of the actual film sequels. One story was set during the Crusades, and Christians soldiers defeating the Muslims, regaining territory, and reclaiming a holy relic: the Lament Configuration. The leader of the Christian army has his faith shattered, as they lost all those men, and slaughtered all those people just for a box. His wife joins a convent, and with a corrupt priest, they try to figure out the secret of the box, in order to destroy Lucifer. You can guess what happens instead. THAT could have made for a great Hellraiser film.

The finished film didn't feature Angelique's cenobites, right? https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/...20090725134434 |

Same here. Sounds like the studio messed up what could have been a good, or even great horror film. The fat dude was in it but was sacrificed to the box -- Angelique did not have Cenobites in the flashbacks only in the future and on the space ship. |
Re: Hellraiser: Judgment (2018, D: Tunnicliffe)
Like all Hellraiser movies, I'm fairly ambivalent about a new one, but I'll watch it with very low expectations at some point.

Re: Hellraiser: Judgment (2018, D: Tunnicliffe)
I saw the Gimp and a few characters from Resident Evil.

Re: Hellraiser: Judgment (2018, D: Tunnicliffe)
I kind of have interest in this after not seeing any Hellraiser past three. Too bad that reboot with Fichtner as Pinhead never went through.

Re: Hellraiser: Judgment (2018, D: Tunnicliffe)
I'll catch this if it hits Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.
