The mother boxes predate the infinity stones by a bit in the comics.

Well, the movie doesn’t and to a moviegoing public who knows little to nothing about the comics lore, especially DC, like me, it seems like lazy, unoriginal writing by ALL involved.

Yeah, I don't know about this line up of superheroes even if somehow Justice League was rebooted. I never thought making a film with some of the most iconic superheroes ever could be so complicated. Nothing confirmed mind you, just talk.

Seriously. An all-American boyscout, a tech-enhanced billionaire, a metal man, a character from a mythical land, and a warrior from a previous world conflict (and The Flash!) all band together to stop an insane alien in the service of a shadowy "big bad" from using an ancient source of infinite power. Obviously, this was a completely original movie.

All they needed was a black guy with one eye. Oh, wait a minute...

So, the Russo Bros. ripped off the plot of Justice League for their Avengers movies?

Imagine the crap they would have gotten had they introduced Darkseid, who basically looks like Thanos's stocky brother.

That rumor site has a comment that says that Gunn can't even work on any other DC properties until he's done with his Marvel stuff (besides Suicide Squad which he agreed to while he was let go)

I finally made it all the way through JL while both staying awake and paying attention, and I think I have to join the Snyder Cut Cult. I just like his weird fucked up psyche, and this movie seems to have been neutered a bit.

Also, Steppenwolf sucks because he looks and sounds like someone's gram-paw.

Also also, Ben Affleck is a fine Batman.

Even if for some reason WB ever allowed the Snyder cut to be finished it would really only be half a film. From all accounts the Snyder cut was two parts and this first film was supposed to end on a pretty big cliffhanger. So really even if we saw it I don’t think people would be as satisfied as they think because there’s no way a part two ever happens when the first was such a box office bomb. I think the best thing to hope for would be a graphic novel adaptation.

We Got This Covered is the National Enquirer of the comic book world. Nothing they report is even remotely true.
