This interesting coming from Keke Palmer. She is a fast rising star.

I assumed the complaint about Bill Murray was something sexual in nature, but this sounds like he was maybe just a jerk.

But do you really shut down a film because a guy who was a big deal decades ago acted unprofessional?

I think Bill Murray achieved the rare kind of iconic status where he never stops being a big deal.

It is the correct decision. Some people behave like jerks, since everyone is pandering to the star. Perhaps even Bill Murray and others have to accept that they aren't royalty and cannot behave like jerks. It's a workplace behave accordingly. You get the biggest trailer and the biggest paycheck, behaving like a professional is the least you can do. If an extra behaved like a jerk all the time or unprofessional, he would be fired in the blink of an eye.

Shit! I thought it was the 70s too but I quickly googled it to make sure and it told me 1969. I should know better than to trust a 10 second search on the internet!

Maybe the opening scene with young William Miller finding out his true age takes place in 1969.

The British trades are noting that Murray was being “handsy” to a woman (or women) on the set.

Well, if several women had to endure the indignity of having Bill Murray put his arm around their shoulders and pull their ponytails, then it's clear that action needs to be taken.

Since it is Sunday, I will be taking few extra minutes to pray that Murray is punished by a vengeful god (not THE God).

Keke Palmer has been in the show business for a long time now. She is not a fast rising star.

She is 29. She did a whole lot of nothing burgers for a very long time. She only recently even became a thing on people’s radar.

I went back and looked again.

If true, at least it's not problematic, but it's still correct to take the complaint seriously.

Problematic enough to shut down production. I'm sure there are some folks that aren't getting paid during the shutdown.

Murray has kind of been sidelined in Wes flicks to secondary character since Life Aquatic (though he did have a bigger roll in Moonrise Kingdom). Anderson has enough of a gallery of regulars to cull from these days. Though, if you mean Wes believing Murray to be his "good luck" charm, of sorts...well, French Dispatch didn't do that well (though I thought it was great) sooooo.....

Of all the "cancelled" stars of the #metoo era, none would really be considered "Beloved" by the general public until now. If this turns out to be a real issue, that would be a tough one to cancel (though of course Murray doesn't work much anyways).

Yeah, I get that. It'd be like hearing Betty White was a serial killer.

No cancelled, but Morgen Freeman has been metoo'd.

So does Marvel have to reshoot parts of the next Ant-man movie now?

She started out as a child star and then had a breakout role in Akeelah and the Bee in 2006 and continued to work till the present so she has been around for a long time.

I am one of the very few people who was a never a fan of Murray. I did not find his 80's wisecracking persona particularly funny...he came across as something of an asshole to me.

I don't think so, his behavior might have been unwanted and crossed a line, but it's not harassment.
