I was at the panel. The movie has musical numbers but as Kristen Schall told us before the 6 min preview: it is no Encanto. The first song is definitely a Bobís Burgers appropriate one. Also, the filmmakers managed to incorporate the shop sign & exterminator running gags from the TV opening in the movie.

Re: Bob's Burgers: The Movie (2022)

As usual, not sure how well a 22 minute show will translate to a 90 minute movie.

So many of the episodes have quick little adventures that wrap up well in the time given. I've rarely ever finished an episode wanting 70 more minutes. Sometimes I feel like an extra minute or two would have helped, but not feature length.

I'm excited for this. My daughter and I love watching Bob's Burgers together, and I'm looking forward to being able to make an outing of it.

Hope there’s a lot of Teddy. The back and forth between him, Bob and Linda are always the best parts.

I like Teddy -- they made him kind of creepy a couple seasons ago, but thankfully walked it back a bit. He went full on obsessive with the Belchers. Hopefully that version of the character doesn't make it back during the movie.

Re: Bob's Burgers: The Movie (2022)

It feels like the Teddy/Bob conversations are ad-libbed and not scripted, and Larry Murphy and H. Jon Benjamin are just riffing off each other.

I never watched the show, other than a few mins here and there, but I would imagine I wouldn't need to in order to enjoy the movie.

Don't worry, you don't. Guy owns a restaurant, has financial issues. That's the crux of the plot and there isn't really anything that you can't easily pick up on (normal kid anxieties, murder mystery, etc).

I kinda suspected. Just wanted to be sure there wasn't more to it than it looked.

Re: Bob's Burgers: The Movie (2022)

I enjoyed this and it looks fantastic for Bob's.

Has a decent bit in common with the season 4 finale two parter.

I had no idea Jordan Peele voiced Fanny. I kind of want to hear him rocking that voice in real life

Re: Bob's Burgers: The Movie (2022)

Wife and I watched it this week and it was pretty fun. The music numbers weren't too overwhelming like I feared and the interactions between the Fishoeder family was very funny.

Re: Bob's Burgers: The Movie (2022)

Despite being a big fan of the show, I only caught up to this tonight. To be honest, I didn't enjoy it all that much, because I generally don't enjoy Fishoeder-centric episodes. I wanted more Teddy and Mort, Aunt Gayle (who was completely absent from the film though they showed her in the closing credits) and especially more Wagstaff kids like Tammy and Jocelyn, Regular Sized Rudy, Zeke, and Andy and Ollie.

Oddly enough, the biggest laugh came very early on in the movie (giving me hope for it) when Jimmy Pesto was hosing down the sidewalk, and sprays the speedo-clad roller skater.
