Who's your favorite actor that transitioned from TV to Movies?
This isn't a list of all the actors that transitioned, this is your favorite of those...
You can kinda consider Alec Baldwin coming from that soap way back when and I love his movies, eventhough he still does tv. I like Hanks, Williams and Clooney. A lot. But my pick I just love him and his characters.
My guy, who is just great and getting due in the movies is:
Walton Goggins
I loved him in Justified, certainly, but he has been popping up in some good, semi to big movies. Hateful Eight, the new Tomb Raider, more to come according to IMDb.
He's getting his due and I just enjoy him so much.

And I just found out he is a voice, small character, I believe, in the new Prey video game. Have to listen for that. I think, but not sure if I already dealt with him and his tasks or whatever...

Not sure if he's my favorite, but I certainly never though the guy I hated second most in Parks and Rec season 1 would turn out to be a big movie star, especially an action star.

Clooney and Eastwood.
Some TV stars who haven't been mentioned yet who had good careers in movies: Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, John Travolta, and Goldie Hawn. Ernest Borgnine became a star on TV, although he had already been in a few movies.

Borgnine won a Best Actor Oscar for MARTY (1955) long before "McHale's Navy."

forgot about Eastwood. he is a double entity with his acting and directing that i love...
