That's true. But, the library does have a free eBook service (along with free movies). Maybe I'll check there.

If Disney had any balls they would have produced this movie and put the Disney logo on the screen before the movie started so people would know the true story of Wonder Woman
Not a lot of nudity for a movie with strong sexual content according to the rating description.
Did not recognize Connie Britton as Josette until the closing credits.
Bella Heathcote looks like a young Heather Graham. If I was in that relationship I would ditch the butter face Rebecca Hall and just stayed with Bella.
If this happened today it would probably not be that big of a deal.

What a great origin story and fascinating look at the creation of Wonder Woman. Fantastic. Who knew she was born out of kink and a celebrated threesome. Really good performances. And she out sold Superman comics at one point. Highly recommended as a great prelude to Friday’s sequel.

I read the book a few years ago, and liked it a great deal, but I don't recall ever hearing of this movie. It was evidently released theatrically, but how wide was the release? Did it come and go quickly?

It was like 1,200 theatres and was pretty much gone in two weeks.

well, all "based on a true story..." movies make artistic adjustments for the sake of putting asses in the seats. you take them with a grain of salt most of the time. i still loved everything about this movie and if even half true, it's still a remarkable story. not many Dr.'s of psychology at Harvard go on to create one of the most iconic superheroes (male or female) in the history of the medium.

I don't mind that sort of thing, however when it's changes that are critical to the story and character motivations, I do have a problem. Same kind of issues I had with The Imitation Game as well, IIRC.
