Brad has a satisfying career and a comfortable life in suburban Sacramento where he lives with his sweet-natured wife, Melanie (Jenna Fischer), and their musical prodigy son, Troy (Austin Abrams), but it's not quite what he imagined during his college glory days. Showing Troy around Boston, where Brad went to university, he can't help comparing his life with those of his four best college friends: a Hollywood bigshot (White), a hedge fund founder (Luke Wilson), a tech entrepreneur (Jemaine Clement), and a political pundit and bestselling author (Michael Sheen). As he imagines their wealthy, glamorous lives, he wonders if this is all he will ever amount to. I feel like I've seen the trailer for this before every movie I've seen in the last month or so. Looks like a feeble attempt to win a bunch of awards.

It is not that bad and worth a rental.
If you are expecting a lot of LOL moments you will be disappointed. |

Very good movie about a very relatable life-event. There's a lot of train of thought voice-overs in Ben Stiller's character which make it very enjoyable. No gun shots, explosions, or car chases here so if that's your taste move on. If you are into thoughtful father-son dynamic stories, you will probably enjoy the time investment.

I couldn’t finish this one. Didn’t really enjoy at all. All seemed maudlin and not hopeful. Stiller has done better.

Based on the thread title, I made a little bet with myself about what the poster looks like and I won. It's like every Stiller role is now a crazy version of Zoolander of a sad version of Gaylord Focker.

I'm with OldBoy on this one. I didn't care for it. My wife gave up after 30 minutes, I lasted maybe an hour. I have it on my list of worst movies for 2017
