Favorite early 90's Marvel movies

Which early 90's Marvel movie reigned supreme? The Punisher(yes I know it was 89), Captain America or The Fantastic Four?

The Punisher:
It's definitely a B-movie and not a very good adaptation of the actual Punisher character. But Dolph is good in the role and for a late 80-s early 90's action movie it's a lot of fun. 3.5/5

Captain America:

This movie is so cornball and not very good. It has tons of plot holes and Captain America is only in the movie at the beginning and end. But I'll be damned if I don't find it fun. If your in the right mood, it's enjoyable. 3/5

The Fantastic Four:

I finally saw this after watching Doomed! recently and you know what. It's not as bad as it's reputation makes it. Sure it's a Corman movie and it's cornball but you can tell that this was both a labor of love for everyone involved and it feels like the Kirby/Lee stories. its trying too. I also think that Rebecca Staab and Alex Hyde White were both the best actors to portray Sue Storm and Mr. Fantastic. Great score too. 4/5

So for me I pick Fantastic Four. Honestly, I don't believe that any of these movies are as bad as their reputations make them out to be and all are fun. But FF just is more enjoyable for me and for that I think it wins.

I have never seen The Punisher the whole way through, but weren't these movies all DTV? Also it seems like such a small list for a poll. I would have to go with Blade for favorite 90s Marvel movie.

It's a poll during Marvels lean years(AKA the crappy years according to most people). Blade was when they actually started to get good.

Yup. That came out of nowhere. As for the early 90's it was all shit except for the X-Men cartoon series.

That's like asking do you prefer a poke in the eye, or a kick in the crotch. There is no good answer.

Remember how Stan Lee would hype these movies up in the letter columns of Marvel Comics? And endlessly list Marvel properties that were going to become movies like the New Mutants and Power Pack?

I always thought the 90's Captain America movie was decent.

I also enjoyed this 90's "Captain America" film: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104291/...nm_flmg_act_34

In the case of FF, it was never actually released through any official channels.

I believe the story with these things is that they were huridly and cheaply made with no thought of releasing them, because if they weren't made the film rights would revert to someone else. Something like that.

Re: Favorite early 90's Marvel movies

The Punisher is kind of dumb nineties action fun. Probably the most watchable of the three. The Roger Corman Fantastic Four film I honestly think is interesting even though it's obviously not a great film.

Re: Favorite early 90's Marvel movies

I absolutely love The Punisher (1989).

A while back, I imported the Unrated & Workprint Versions on DVD from Germany.
