Old: Seven Samurai
Classic: Hard Boiled or Killer
New-ish: Ip-Man 1 or 2 (and a little bit of Kung Fu Killer)

Re: All-time favorite foreign film (The All Subtitles Edition)?

I wanted to say Hard Boiled or The Killer, but I believe that The Music Teacher (1988) is a film I watched on VHS when my sister brought it home from her job at Blockbuster Video and I really enjoyed it. I was pretty clueless about foreign cinema at the time but even though it is a subtitled film my youngish self was hooked by what I was seeing and hearing on the screen. I should re-visit this film just to see if I get the same enjoyment out of it now as I did then.
