So Universal is doing a reboot for Van Helsing, and their latest to be a part of their shared "Dark Universe" that began with The Mummy.

According to THR, one actor being sought is Channing Tatum.

Surprised they aren't scrapping the whole thing. But I guess you gotta double down when you made all those announcements.

I don't think the general public is that aware of what Universal was trying to do. The only reason I knew is because of this site - I didn't see any talk anywhere else. My wife wasn't aware at all that The Mummy was supposed to kick something off.

If they were smart, they'd just cut it off and call it good.

I still seriously doubt most of this will amount to much. Announced means nothing.

But then again I never thought OJ would get paroled so...
