Written by Kevin Bernhardt (“Elephant White”), “Smart Chase” centers on a washed-up private security agent who gets ambushed as he attempts to escort a pricey Chinese antique out of Shanghai.
Will be released in theaters in Asia this September.
I'm going to assume this will get a VOD release and limited theatrical run for other territories.
Surprised to see Bloom star in a Chinese produced movie.

I rented the DVD from Redbox last week.
It was ok I guess. I'd probably give it a C or C+
It's a heist movie that takes place in China and most of the movie is actually shot in English. I think it was trying to be the Chinese version of Ocean's 11. It's pretty forgettable TBH. Doesn't have the cleverness or personality of the Oceans movies and Bloom is certainly no George Cloonet. I likely won't remember this movie a few months from now.
