Stupid: How did Frozen get resolved?
 

My 3 year old daughter has seen Frozen once or twice (we don't own it) but she much prefers the activity books/merchandise/songs. I've only seen it once.

We were going over a book that had the basic acts of the story. Towards the end it goes from Elsa chasing the good guys out of her castle with some monster to the next moment, everyone enjoying summer in the town--- MINUS ELSA.

My daughter was alarmed--where is Elsa? Isn't everything ok now? Isn't there some happy ending? Summer is here and Elsa can live with her family and friends, right? I don't remember that ending. I think they abandoned her to live in the mountains like a freak. No?

The book is wrong. Elsa is in the center of the town celebrating with the people of Arandale and hugging her sister at the end. She creates a small flurry for Olaf.

I have seen this movie 400 times with my daughter. I am 100% sure of this.

ok. And she doesn't have to live around ice or die? Thats how I remembered it.

In the book she's so conspicuously absent. It's like they defeated a witch lol

Maybe they were going for a more faithful adaptation of the Snow Queen.

But yeah, they completely left out the part where Hans does a sudden heel turn, Anna is taken to the trolls, and Elsa saves the day through the power of sisterly love. That's kind of a weird thing to leave out of the book. There wasn't even a caption to explain it?

Well, after one guy jumped off the ski lift and was eaten by wolves and Iceman tried to escape and was also eaten by wolves, the girlfriend made it to the road and was picked up by a car that slowed down to help. Pretty good movie, hopefully you can revisit it some time. Hope that helps clear things up!

To be fair, that was post-credits and is not included in most of the children's books.

1 kids playing with snow
2 growing up (wanna build snowman stuff) shut off
3. coronation scene
4. Elsa running off
5. Buying stuff from the trader
6. Wolves attacking them
6. battle scene at Elsas castle
7. Anna, Kris & everyone is happy in town with summer and no elsa anywhere to be seen.

The twist revealing it to be a prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road was quite the surprise too.

Sure but that was revealed to be Anna's delusional dream considering the final shot of the movie is Anna quietly rocking back and forth in a mental institution.

Don't listen to these jokers. The end is easily summed up in two words: MONEY SHOT. Elsa was fine.

She was put on trial for freezing the kingdom and killing the livestock and crops which caused the death of several subjects due to starvation. It didn't end well for Elsa.
