It's still wild to me that this is a year and a half from release, even finishing filming.

You know, I think it’s all about the character and how Gadot embodies Wonder Woman, the iconic, cultural groundbreaking heroic superhero we all know and love. The other movies have had certainly bad writing, directing and casting. I think Gadot as WW and to a second extent Momoa as Aquaman, are the only two casting matches. The other have been mismatches imo.

I mean he was certainly leagues better than Routh. I think I saw that one once in theaters and that was it. I’ll see it again one day, but it was just such a fail. I just think Cavill is a little bland in the role. There is no Clark at all (and what little we get is dour and just not fun) and I think that is why Reeve’s duality was so memorable. He embodied both characters with ease and levity in Clark and serious, but still some humor in the hero. He was just magic. Cavill is just so one note for me. I don’t know who would be a better choice, but I’m sure someone could have done something better in MoS...

The year on the thread title needs an update since this now opens in 2020.

I am so hoping a mod changes it to:
Wonder Woman 2020 (2019, D: Jenkins) S: Gadot, Wiig -- News and Rumors
Wonder Woman 2020 (2019, D: Jenkins) S: Gadot, Wiig -- News and Rumors

Of the main heroes, Ezra is the weakest link, but he grew on me after seeing the film a second time. Other than that I agree with you fu. Should the DCEU continue, Lex and the Joker either need to be recast or just left out of this universe. Or rewritten as alternate Earth characters or something along those lines. Those two are easily the worst casting mistakes DC has made.

IDK, I liked Eisenberg as Luthor, especially what could've been with the more subdued version in the Justice League post-credit scene. But I'm willing to bet we won't see him again and they'll go with an older Luthor whose grand plan will once again be a real estate schemer; they won't be able to resist with Trump in the White House.

I will hate Eisenberg in that role forever, and i'm someone that liked him in Social Network, Zombieland, or even Now You See Me.
I also really like the supporting characters in the DCEU. Diane Lane is great, and I was a fan of Costner, Crowe, Irons. I liked Pine and Robin Wright was pretty great. Amy Adams was iffy for me though.

A Big Barda movie is coming out !?! (I wish)
Looks like the background is purposefully distorted to hide some elements that will be revealed later (SDCC?)
