The original plan was for there to be 2 more prequel films. I'm sure the last one would of ended with the beginning of Alien but with Covenant's lackluster box office, it doesn't look like any answers are coming.

Ok, just saw this, so maybe this was covered previously. Does this movie totally de-canonize the Alien vs Predator movies? The Alien species (Xenomorph XX121) is created something like 100 years in the future, now, right?

Well, I loved it - great gore and very tense. Very happy with this one and it makes me want to watch Prometheus again as well. Also, I don't really know what the hell is going either...I mean, was the synth there before Prometheus? how was it him that wiped out that entire species of pasty white people?

And while we're on it...who was the pasty white dude in the beginning of Prometheus? You know, the one they show right at the beginning.

For some reason I am revisiting this on BluRay. I just started Ridley Scott’s commentary ... and already had to stop it just 30 seconds in. He is introducing the film and starts to talk about his desire to resurrect the Alien franchise with a film called Prometheus where he would “revisit the question, the biggest question of all about the movie, that nobody had ever asked ...”
