Went with the hubs. He likes to go to like one movie every six months (last movie we saw was The Last Jedi) and only likes very specific movies whereas I'll go to any movie any time. I was surprised he had heard about a movie because he usually hears about the two movies he does go see a year from me. I went in not knowing anything about it other than Jim Henson's son made an adult movie with muppets and humans.

I LOVED it. Laughed the whole way through. Was laughing even more than the husband. It was hysterical. I didn't see the trailer.

I hate Melissa McCarthy. With a passion. I didn't know she was in this movie. She's just not funny, obnoxious, abrasive. I actually turned Tammy off. I saw that one with Sandra Bullock and it was passable. Told my husband at the end, I've seen her in buddy cop movies many times. This is one time it actually worked. She just needs to play off a muppet.

Sign me up (and the hubs) for the next Henson Alternative project!

I appreciate the idea that Brian Henson was trying to do something different, but I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. It didn't help that the trailer gave away a lot of the best gags.

I did not watch the trailer but I there were some LOL moments that made it worth watching.
