My 5 year old daughter chose to watch Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom over this too... and she loved it. She's re-watched it a few times. On the other hand I didn't care for JW Fallen Kingdom.

We ended up never getting around to seeing Christopher Robin in theaters after that... so we'll check it out when it hits Blu-ray.

Blind bought the Target exclusive Blu-ray of this yesterday. Really liked this movie a lot. I figured I would because I’ve always liked the Pooh characters. Just a very charming and heartfelt movie with a nice message. McGregor is always a favorite of mine whether he’s in more average films, or especially in good ones like this. Also liked Hayley Atwell as his wife and the girl playing his daughter was good too. The animal characters all looked great and were a good blend of real puppets and CG. The voice acting was good all around too. I’d say definitely a good family film or even one worth watching if you’re a fan of the characters or want something light-hearted.

We have many of the classic animated movies on DVD and still enjoy watching every now and then, would this make a good addition to that series, or is it doing its own thing?

I would say it stands alone but fits with classic Winnie the Pooh tales. I mean its live action so it doesn't tie into the previous animated stuff, but if you like the characters like I said I defintely think you'll like it.

The movie does mention some of the previous animated adventures, so unlike other live action Disney adaptations and remakes I felt like this took the existing stories and made a wonderful story based on what people already know about the property.

It's somewhat similar to Hook. So continuing the story but from an adult perspective with the main character growing up.

You really should check it out it's dripping with charm and heart.

It was good though not as good as the cartoons or Goodbye Christopher Robin the other movie but still worth seeing.

Just watched it with the kids, the character design was great, although wanted Tigger to be more orange. Pacing was a little glacial, but it was like being covered in a comfy blanket for 2 hours. It also tried a bit too hard to pull at heart strings, and kind of failed in that regard I thought... but overall it was pretty good but not spectacular. The kids and I enjoyed Paddington more.
