Bautista has suggested he's contractually obligated to appear in the film, and I bet the rest of the cast is as well. They sign these guys up for multiple movies in each contract.

I do often wonder what it would take for Disney to say, you know what, he made crappy jokes, he's sorry, he's made amends, he's directing the movie, deal with it. I wonder that...

It goes back to my comments... Disney has to stand by their decision, regardless. Over time, would they rehire him? Maybe.. when it's long forgotten, but Gunn isn't going to direct GotG3.

They have to stick to their decision or else it puts not only themselves, but other studios in a powerless position.
As someone said earlier in response, Disney could have done an investigation and both sides could have issued a statement and Gunn could have continued on with directing. But Disney jumped and put themselves AND other studios in a bad spot.

We'll see what happens with Bryan Singer. If he'll get work until his name is cleared or will he be blacklisted if convicted. Look, people are taking a chance with John Lasseter, but even that has gotten some heat. Obviously, Gunn's transgressions aren't as bad as theirs is, but the industry has been put on notice. And it hasn't stopped people like Roman Polanski from continuing to make films.

Well that's good news. The only negative is Guardians 3 is coming out after Suicide Squad now, so about 4 years from now?

The script is done. Maybe he will touch it up a little. But it says he won't start working on it until he finishes Suicide Squad. You're talking about at least 2023 as the soonest this can come out. They have to go through at least 6 months of pre-production before they can film. I suppose they could try to fast track it for late 2022, but that would be tough, especially since these movies need heavy post production.

Thank goodness, glad to hear he’s back.

So I guess this means Christopher Plummer is off of this project.

Wow. Working on competing comic book cinematic universes at the same time. Who does he think he is, Djimon Hounsou?
