Re: Avengers: Endgame (4/26/19) D: The Russo Bros.

I was just thinking of the heroes that did not get taken by the snap, and how basically it was the worst possible choices:

Iron Man - the smartest guy in the world

Hulk - Banner is pretty damn smart, plus, Hulk

Thor - a literal god

Captain America - a superhuman with incredible leadership abilities

Captain Marvel - from what we've seen of her powers, she rivals thanos even with the IG

Nebula - a severe axe to grind

It's almost like he giftwrapped his ultimate downfall.

So how could Scott get out of quantum realm by himself? Isn’t that impossible? Which is why Janet could never get out. Unless, Luis didn’t get vaped. But he wasn’t at van scene when Scott went into realm in credits of Ant-Man and Wasp that I saw...

Have you not seen the first Ant-Man movie where he gets trapped in the quantum realm and escapes?

I did. I guess I missed connection and frankly don’t remember how he did it...

I don't want to go into spoiler country, but I heard there is no post credits scene, but there is a "stinger?" So would that just be like the mid-credits, or what?

And "only" a 96% with over 100 reviews...

I'm not positive, but I think a "stinger" is just a quick scene at the VERY end of the scrolling credits.
Post credit scenes are more substantial and come sooner, at the end of the animated credits.
Like in Captain Marvel...
[CM spoilers]
Spoiler:
The post credits scene was when she showed up while the Avengers were looking at her pager, and the stinger was when the cat coughed up the cube.

There is no mid or post credits scene. Apparently the "stinger" that some people are discussing is just a noise that plays with the Marvel logo on screen at the very end of the credits. Doesn't sound very significant, but I will spoiler this just in case, apparently it's just
Spoiler:
some kind of metal clanking noise.

Personally, I read that as "nothing" and will happily walk out to empty my bladder instead of waiting to hear it.

I just took a quick glance at some of the reviews on metacritic and it has already spoiled enough for me. Staying far away from all that. Their opinion is irrelevant. I'm seeing it regardless. There is no way in hell I wouldn't be entertained by this movie.

Yeah, at nearly 3 hours, I'm gonna run straight to the bathroom the second the credits roll.

^^ That's nothing new. Shitty Cam copies for pretty much every major release always gets pirated.

Savvy movie-goers will stay away from that shit.

Yep. Ran into a few thumbnails that I hope were faked.

My only concern about the movie, after hearing several reviews, is it's slow beginning. This is one of the reasons why Civil War isn't in my top 5. But given the stakes at what's happening, hopefully it will breeze by.

For me, I think I'm officially done with the MCU after this film.

Thanks, and I would think this thread should continue to be spoiler free since we have a Spoiler thread now.

I've clicked on the Spoiler thread twice already by accident. But luckily didn't see anything.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (4/26/19) D: The Russo Bros.

I'd also appreciate it if this thread remained spoiler-free. We have the spoiler review thread already. I imagine this one will die out as more people migrate to the review thread, but I'd like this to remain safe.

Has anyone in the other thread commented on the trailers they saw for their showing? I've been holding out on the latest Godzilla trailer, hoping it's playing before Endgame. I'd like to see it in the theater. If it's not being shown, I'll just watch the one online.
