Morpheus wasn’t killed in Enter the Matrix. That story ran parallel to Reloaded. He was killed in The Matrix Online.

If I recall, Niobe was a major character in Enter the Matrix. That game established how they got the disc to break into the power station. I remember it being really fun. Dove into The Matrix Online a bit, but didn’t play it for long.

The red/blue trailers were more effective than the full and built themselves around ideas of freedom and modern society. As a HUGE matrix fan, the full trailer fell flat for me.

Are we getting a reboot of sorts or a continuation of the series? And why does it seem that only one sibling is doing the heavy lifting.

I am an apologist for most movies and media. I see the art, enjoy and move on. But the matrix is about reinvention In a time that every other movie is in debt and has used their tech, how will they reinvent in the way that the matrix is intended.

AND....Speedracer is underrated, especially the final ten minutes.

I wonder how many premium screens (Dolby, IMAX, etc) this will actually get with Spider-Man being out. Plus, this has the box office poison HBO Max going against it.

Still, I'll probably see this in theaters. I think it looks like a lot of fun, the trailer grows on me the more I watch it.

It saves the follow up question of "which console" if he would have just answered "no". Some people have PS2s or PS3s with backwards capability still.

Even though it was a different era and the original trailer made me so excited, I've watched the new trailer quite a few times which I don't normally do.

I don't think this one will be in people's minds the way the original was. But I think it's going to be pretty big. And if it's actually really good, it'll be even bigger. Ha. I won't be surprised if it pulls numbers similar to Christopher Nolan's movies.

I have hope for this movie... but it feels like there's nowhere to really go with it other than a re-boot of sorts. I don't want another series re-boot (The Force Awakens comes to mind)... and the last two movies were under-whelming anyhow.

For me, this the perfect type of film to release on HBOmax. It’s one I wouldn’t bother seeing in the theater at all but will check out on day 1 on HBOmax.

I suspect we’ll see two looks from Keanu. Scruffy “John Wick” in the Matrix and clean shaven “Neo” out of the Matrix.

Every time I see patchy-beard Keanu in a movie, I just assume he was lazy and didn’t want to shave for a role.

When I watched the trailer on an Imax size screen before Ghostbusters (the big one in Dublin, CA), I admitted to myself that this film kind-of begs to be seen on a large ass screen, but other than Spider-Man, I will most likely not be seeing any additional films in theaters over the next 30+ days.

Heck, the only reason I will need to drag myself to the theater for Spider-Man is that it being primarily a Sony film it will not show up on D+ 30-45 days later making it easy to watch. So yeah, thank goodness this will be on HBO Max day and date of release in theaters.
