Re: New Matrix Trilogy on the Horizon!
The first movie was amazing. The second one? It was alright, I guess. The third one was crap. Well, except for the ending fight with the machines.

Re: New Matrix Trilogy on the Horizon!
I'm 100% down for more films. I would even go as far as to hope they are in 3D. The next few years are going to be fucking amazing for sci-fi, fantasy and superhero lovers even without these films added to the lineup but I hope this rumor ends up being true.

I'm down for another Animatrix.

Seems like I'm waaaay in the minority, but I really enjoyed both sequels. I'm cautiously optimistic about a new trilogy. As long as the Wachowski's write and direct, I'm in.

Re: New Matrix Trilogy on the Horizon!
I enjoyed all 3 Matrix movies with the only exception being that endless Rave scene which I'll be fast forwarding through next time. I may be one of the only ones here who think a remake is totally unnecessary. Wish they'd spend their energies creating something new instead of remaking something old.

Meh I was never a huge Matrix fan. I thought the first one was OK, the second one was entertaining and I completely despised the third one. Honestly has much as the Matrix movies seem to be forgotten today I'm kinda surprised WB would try this.

I don't really hate them I'm just a bit indifferent towards the entire franchise as a whole. The first film is good but not like one of the all time best films or anything. The second and third films are both entertaining enough but overall I could do without watching them.

I think the sequels are, on the whole, atrocious, and I'd rather see the Wachowskis do original, daring work instead. Then again, if WB said "Make us three more Matrix films or we'll never fund another movie you want to make again," then I could see them doing it.

I like Reloaded. But it's a huge drop from the original. The third is the worst. Saying that I enjoy a lot of the matrix bits in the sequels. Zion bore me.

Re: New Matrix Trilogy on the Horizon!
The Matrix is one of my favorite films ever. The second was good but felt like a letdown because of how amazing the first one was. The third... best not to think of.
I suppose money is always what is important but I have zero confidence in this. The original was revolutionary but anything now will seem like a desperate attempt to recapture the magic and that is not going to happen.

I rewatched all three recently, and y'know... 2 and 3 ain't that bad. They have some truly terrible moments, sure... but overall, I think they're excellent films.
I'm down for a 4th one, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

Might be neat if they did like a semi-reverse BTTF 2. Have Neo go back over past events, but tie in with some Matrix deja veu in the process.
