96% fresh! Only from 26 reviews but still.

I'm so stoked for this now. I'm sure I would have loved it if it was even mediocre.

Since this is coming out on Christmas I'm trying to convince my 6 yo daughter to see it. Any reason that might not be a good idea?

There's none of that crude b/s from "Fallen" or any of that sexism in disguise crap from the Bay films.

If I had young kids, I'd take them.

Originally I had bought tickets for my nieces, but they would rather socialize with their friends than spend time with their uncle.

I love how the commercials say this is the Transformers youve been waiting for! Only took 6 movies

There's five other Transformers movies?! Man, did Bay screw this franchise up. Someone who was as into Transformers as me should care more about this new one but I barely enjoyed a shred of the first and half-watched the second online and turned it off when I saw the robo-balls.

But if reviews are good and it truly looks like a turn-around, I may take the kids. A mild PG-13, I assume?

Apparently yes, mild PG-13. Mind you, most reviews are saying it's "Very entertaining" but aren't calling it a masterpiece or anything like that, which incorrectly gets associated with high rt score movies these days.

Fun fact: this is higher than the combined RT scores of the last 4 Transformers movies.

19% Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)
35% Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)
18% Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014)
15% Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)
------
87% Total

I actually thought Dark of the Moon was pretty good. It is kinda funny though that this is the first "fresh" Transformers movie. I wonder if that will be enough to have them ditch Michael Bay.

I was under the impression that Bay was done making TF films anyway?

Yeah... its not a Revenge of The Fallen or Megan Fox PG-13 film.

It sucks that the stigma of Bay and his shitty sequels may actually hurt this film.

I actually fell asleep during that one. It was an improvement over Revenge of the Fallen, but that's an incredibly low bar.

I haven't seen Last Knight yet, but my biggest problem with 3 and 4 is that they never seemed to end. Dark of the Moon was 2 hrs 37 min. Age of Extinction was 2 hrs 45 min. Why? These movies should be 2 hours max, as there is just not enough story to justify these epic lengths. I think all the movies could have been better with a half hour or more trimmed away.

Just looked it up and Bumblebee is 1 hr 54 min. Sounds about right.

So how much is the other robots in this? Just cameos and flashbacks?
I like Bumblebee, but Optimus Prime is the one who will get me to go
