Some of those fights look horrible with the CG.

Not a great teaser. Average at best. Looks like Cameron as producer doesnt mean shit.

I didn't think much of it easier.
It just looks repetitive watching people run around and shoot ammo into machines that aren't damaged by it. I'd probably be more hyped by this if there weren't all the movies after T2.

I liked everything with Linda Hamilton in it along with the brief look at Arnold. Not sure on the rest. A lot of focus on effects that were revolutionary in 1991 with T2 but not so much today, and even with the CGI back then they still largely obeyed the laws of physics. In that last fight scene around 2:10, I'm not sure how the evil Terminator spun in the air like that after a shot to the face.

The story is really what matters so it's always hard to judge from these trailers as they are just trying to wow the casual fan with big action scenes and special effects. I trust Cameron that he didn't sign on for a typical 'dummy' blockbuster that has pervaded the industry for quite some time now. We shall see....

Underwhelming trailer. Just doesn't feel like it brings anything new to the series. And didn't care for the somber choice of music.

Terminator: Hot Garbage.
Oof, does that look awful. They should've gone smaller, more intimate, instead of another bloated CGI slug-fest.

Halle Berry's character in John Wick 3 looks more badass than all the females in this film.

So the T-800 has officially retired and enjoys log cabins, hunting and fishing? He just chills in Wyoming somewhere... waiting for a perpetual Terminator attack?

Ghost Rider Terminator kind of looks like he's based on the the JC terminator from Genisys.

It was a decent 1st trailer. Liked seeing Sarah Connor.
However, the music selection sucked. How does the Paramount marketing team think that tired, sleepy music would be good to promote an iconic franchise like Terminator? They should have used Brad Fiedel's iconic theme.

Meh. Just looks like been there and done that to me. I’m not really feeling the cast so far. They all seem pretty bland, even Hamilton looks like she’s just sort of phoning it in for a paycheck. I always like seeing Arnold, but even with him we’ve seen him do this multiple times, including as an aged Terminator (unless that’s not what he’s playing here).
I don’t know this seems like another time trying to revive the franchise when it should just call it quits. I don’t have a lot of faith in it being better due to Cameron’s involvement either.

You might be right... that movie went thru me like Taco Bell. I could watch it again right now and it'd be like watching it for the first time.
The trailer did nothing for me aside from seeing Sarah Conner. That said, I can't get over how many times a bad ass protagonist will shoot (enter explosive round here) into a Terminator and be surprised that it did nothing or deterred the Terminator for about 5 seconds.

I'm glad I'm not the only one tepid on this trailer.
Hey, remember Sarah Connor? Hey, remember the T-1000 liquid metal? Hey, remember that time he made a long blade with his arm? Hey, remember Arnold? (Say what you will about these effects, but the 'old' Terminator does nothing for me. I prefer the GCI double they've used in past films.) They've dipped back into this well too many times to impress me anymore.
And I honestly cannot believe they had the restraint to keep the "Come with me if you want to live." line out of the trailer after the Sarah Connor reveal, because we all know damn well that it's in the final movie.
At least Terminator Salvation had some grit to it, and wasn't a shiny CGI showcase like everything else after T2, including this.
Taco Bell is delicious and nutritious, and I don't like what you're implying. I'll take my apology off-air.

Re: Terminator: Dark Fate (2019, D: Miller) Schwarzenegger, Hamilton -- Cameron producing
So underwhelming.
Same old same old. It's the same things we've already seen in the previous films. Freeway chase, 1 good 1 bad terminator, factory battle, morphing terminator, human terminator, and bunch of shit just 'sploding every where x50.
The CGI airplane scene just looked ridiculous. What's the point of having these ambitious action scenes if they look so fake? Felt more like The A-Team of one of the Fast & Furiouses.
The bad guy terminator here doesn't even look scary or intimidating. I mean, that fits with Cameron's original vision of these things looking nondescript to blend in with humans. But if terminators are supposed to be infiltration units, and they've had these morphing capabilities since the second film, shouldn't they be altering the appearance constantly to get closer to their target? Why would they ever revert back to the way they're first human form?

From what I have seen from the few James Cameron interviews regarding the movie, he is being extra secret on the plot (he goes out of his way to say it many times in the era of spoilers). That is why I think the trailer looks so 'been there done that' as they are not revealing anything new and giving the standard Terminator scenes in every movie. What I always loved about T1 and T2 were the characters, relationships, and the themes and I'm hoping they are in this movie (again, I trust Cameron isn't involved in a dummy action movie). So you won't see this stuff in the Trailer, but there is always a chance that it ends up being a retread and we get The Force Awakens.
