It feels the most consistently exciting and entertaining throughout, the most fun, of all of them. It's like the best summation of what those movies should be. Rogue One is the most mature of them, and Empire is the best of the OT.

This movie trends on Twitter every few months, which after all these years, is quite impressive (for a Disney SW movie)

I've noticed that too, especially since Gary Whitta* is on there and will sometimes chime in.

The reworking of the script did make the first two thirds feel a bit "moving the chess pieces into place", but I think it goes better with rewatches, knowing what's going to happen to everyone.
And the last act absolutely makes up for it. It's a sliced of fried gold.

*I'm always confounded how he was a writer on this which is one of my favorite movies ever, but also on one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my entire life (Book of Eli).

Wonder if it'll be as dark as the last time I saw that in IMAX- in fact that was enough to turn me off from our local IMAX theater for good. They'll probably show it in shitty 2D this time though.

I’m signed up to be alerted when tickets are available.

I only saw it once in the theater but have watched it a dozen times on Blu-ray and also watched countless reactors on YouTube watch it and the end with Jyn and Cassian on the beach gets me every, single, time.

I've got tickets for Friday night at the Woodfield IMAX in Schaumburg, going with a friend. Anybody else in the area?

I remember when it was just being built at the end of "Revenge of the Sith".

Going this Friday to the last show at Santikos Palladium. First time I watched it had mixed feelings. After several subsequent views, it’s one of the best SW films for me.

Friend and I went, not too many people in the theater but the ones there seemed to have a good time. After all these years K2-SO still makes everyone laugh.

And the preview clip of Andor was pretty intense, I think this series will grab people in unexpected ways.

Did the preview show anything new?

It was an extended clip, showing Cassian meeting with someone in an abandoned forge, it's one of the guys from the trailer

Spoiler:

Cassian has brought him a stolen Imperial hard drive and the guy starts trying to recruit Cassian, telling him he'll double the fee if he explains how he did it. Cassian finally relents and says a variation of the speech you hear in the trailer about how the Imperials never even think of how someone like him could just walk into their home and eat their food and all that. But then the Imps find them and there's an intense shootout where these big hooks on winches keep getting shot down and falling to the floor around them. The impression we get is that the hard drive wasn't important, the guy was trying to recruit Cassian to a bigger Rebel group
