Angel Has Fallen (2019, D: Waugh) -- Gerard Butler returns as Mike Banning

I knew it!! I knew they would greenlight another sequel especially after London has Fallen made over $200M worldwide.
Bring it!!
EXCLUSIVE: Millennium Films is teaming up with Gerard Butler again, this time for Angel Has Fallen, a threequel follow up to hit action titles Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen.
Butler will be back to star as Secret Service agent Mike Banning, who has spent his career keeping American presidents safe. This time, he’s the target. If his attackers can take down half of Washington D.C. with it, all the better. Among those at risk include the President, whose official Air Force One plane is code-named Angel.
Producers are Butler, Alan Siegel, Mark Gill, John Thompson and Matt O’Toole. Exec producers are Avi Lerner, Trevor Short and Christine Otal.
Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt, who created the franchise, will write the script. No director has been set yet.
Millennium will be launching the title to distributors at the American Film Market next week and it’s sure to be one of the hottest titles up for grabs given the box office success of the first two installments: Olympus Has Fallen took $161M at the worldwide box office while London Has Fallen generated a whopping $205M worldwide.
Millennium is targeting a production start in the first half of 2017.
The company will also be shopping Adrian Brody, John Malkovich and Antonio Banderas starrer Unchained, a Reservoir Dogs-style thriller, directed and written by Paul Solet.
Butler is repped by CAA.

I guess I still need to see OHF. Cuz I don't understand how fun this is apparently. The trailers haven't sold me on this but... apparently OHF is badass. Haha.

So basically Air Force One+Passenger 57?
Never saw the 1st one but the 2nd one was enjoyable enough when my wife and I saw it in the theater.

The 1st movie is the best. You absolutely need to see that one. It's hardcore R rated action violence at it's finest. Massive body count.

Pathetic. You're the one who drops F bombs left and right and jizzes in your pants with action movies and now you want to be some kind of Rhodes Film Scholar with this series and say it's beneath you?

But yeah, the first one is better, not that the bar is set high. But it is fun.

The story on London was self contained for the most part, but yes you do lose some of the character development that was established in the 1st movie. Especially between Banning and the President. Banning and Trumbull as well. Same goes with Banning's relationship with a few of the other supporting characters.

Keep them coming, as long as it stays true to the last one. A pure action movie, plenty of over the top bloody kills, good one liners, and not caring about who might be offended. It should be good. London has Fallen will probably end up being my favorite movie of this year.

Sweet. While the 2nd one was a bit of a letdown, it was a serviceable action movie.

I only saw the TNT airing of Olympus Has Fallen so the language and some of the bloodier kills were cut, but what I did view was nearly non-stop action with a crazy high body count. I did see LHF on Netflix so it was uncut and yeah...a fun action film that has turned into a nice mid-range budget franchise for Gerard Butler.

I enjoyed the hell out of OHF but still haven't gotten around to seeing LHF. Hard 'R' action flicks are far and few between so it's nice when a decent one comes around.

It's only 1 hour 40 minutes. You can't fit that into your schedule? it's not like your trying to make time to watch the extended edition of The Hobbit trilogy.

What was the other Washington DC under attack movie that came out at the same time.
