The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Against the World Crime League

Maniac 2: Mister Robbie

Gladiator 2 (that script sounded insane)

I wouldn't mind indirect sequels (like the Final Destination series). There are 100's of Chinatowns in other cities which would make for different characters and circumstances. A cameo by Kurt Russell somewhere to tie it all in to the original.

too bad there's no sequel for Kung Pow even though there was a trailer for one at the end.

Announced since 2009 and still waiting: The Strangers 2. I liked the first, wouldn't mind a sequel.

Terminator prequel to first movie with original cast.

The original could not be Reese's first trip to the past, otherwise John Conner wouldn't exist to send him back.
In a future with no John Conner, Reese is sent to past by resistance on some mission, meets Sarah Conner purely by chance, knocks her up, mission fails and he is killed, is reborn in timeline with John Conner in it.

You'd be amazed at how many people don't think that.

Is it messy? Yes. But only because you're adding more to the bloodline.

Though, I think even Cameron talks about it just being a cycle for him. Doesn't make sense to me. It'd have to be some nobody guy who pumps one into Sarah.. Judgement Day happens.. this John Connor grows into a badass... sends Reese to save his mum... Reese changes up the bloodline.

Okay, I get it. I wasn't aware that it was part of a longer story at all.

Yeah he had an idea or a draft for a sequel where Mac and Childs get picked up and taken on a sub. I can't remember if it was on the commentary of if it was in a John Carpenter book.

I haven't listened to the commentary in years. So I don't remember. Hrmmmm. May have been interesting. I honestly prefer the brutal brutal as fuck and cynical ending to the film we got there.

What nixed that from happening? The sales of The Thing?

Having just watched "10 Cloverfield Lane" and (unlike most others, it seems) liking the ending, I'd be interested in a sequel that follows the character into the battling world that was implied. That might be too cliched a genre, but in the right hands could be worthwhile.

I can't remember the reason why it was nixed. I would guess poor reception to the Thing at the time.
I agree I really like the bleak ending. Just like most of his other films, there isn't a whole lot of positivity. Right up my alley. I also like that most of them are open to interpretation to a certain extent.

Yes to both of those as well. I'll also throw in a true sequel to From Dusk Till Dawn with Clooney.

I really wanted to see Bryan Singer's follow up to SUPERMAN RETURNS. I like the Donnerverse, and just wanted to see how it would continue.

I would have loved to see GODFATHER IV, with a parallel storyline of the Corleone boys growing up.

A Robert DeNiro and Charles Grodin reunion for another MIDNIGHT RUN (with same director) would have been nice.

Space Balls II: The Search For More Money. Best Mel Brooks film ever and it and a cult classic.
Would love to see an Ave Ventura 3. The second was awful and just rehashed the same jokes from the first one with slight variations.
