You forget, these are the same guys who want Harrison Ford to continue as Indiana Jones and the original Ghostbusters in one more film.

Bond actor Daniel Craig set to play 007 in two more movies despite nearly quitting the role

Personally, I'd take this with a grain of salt. I just can't see Craig signing on for two Bond movies.
I can reveal the actor is on the verge of signing for not one but two more installments of the spy franchise before hanging up his tux once and for all.
Producer BARBARA BROCCOLI has been spearheading negotiations with the actor, which will take him up to a total of six films as the world’s most famous secret agent.
While work is scheduled to begin on the 25th film next year, discussions are centring on a possible remake of 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service for Daniel’s subsequent final movie.
A Bond insider said: “There was plenty of talk about who would be the next Bond but Barbara has managed to talk Daniel into two more films.
“He is loved by audiences around the world and has driven a real resurgence for the movies at the box office, so bosses knew they couldn’t lose him just yet.
“The script is nearly ready for the 25th film, provisionally titled Shatterhand and scheduled to be released in November 2019, so there is no time to waste on getting Daniel locked in.
“But the deal is almost done and the idea of returning to On Her Majesty’s Secret Service for the 26th movie is really exciting."

I can and I hope so, especially if they continue on with the Spectre organization storyline. Hopefully a bit more lighthearted.

I'm ready for Craig to hang it up. I'm sorry... I know a lot of people liked this run, but the only one I REALLY loved was Casino Royale. They just are missing something.
I'm also tired of the will he/won't he drama. We'd be better of with Morrissey in the role. He may be less depressed about it all than Craig is.

I'd be really disappointed if they started remaking films in the franchise as that article suggests.

I think it's really difficult to make James Bond work in a modern setting. The Connery Bonds were a product of their time. The character just didn't fit well into the 80s and beyond. Society just became too media-savvy and cynical to buy into Bond's gadgets and flamboyant villains.
Casino Royale was probably the only great Bond film in the last four decades, and it's going to be really difficult to recapture that magic.

While Casino Royale is also the only movie I really love and think Skyfall is massively overrated, I'm fine with more Craig. The weakness of the other films hasn't been because of him.

Wait, Bond got lobotomized and died at the end of Spectre. Everything was all a dream.
It wasn't? Then that movie fucking sucked.

I wish they would start adapting the John Gardner penned JAMES BOND stories.
I remember liking ICEBREAKER and LICENSE RENEWED quite a bit.

As of this morning, August 15th, the Year of Our Lord 2017, Daniel Craig is still telling journalists he hasn’t decided whether he's making another Bond film or not. From a Boston morning radio show called Morning Magic 106.7:
“No decision has been made at the moment, there's a lot of noise out there and nothing official has been confirmed and I'm not, like, holding out for more money or doing anything like that. It's just all very personal decisions to be made at the moment...I know they're desperate to get going and I would in theory love to do it, but there is no decision, uh, just yet."

For fuck's sake Daniel! You're not exactly emotionally draining yourself in some sort of insane method acting situation. Take your mountain of fucking cash and make the damn movie already! Shit!

Craig's previous comments seems like PR stuff preventing him from saying a direct yes even if it was a done deal.

But on the show he revealed he's known for a "couple of months".
"We've been discussing it, we've just been trying to figure things out," he said. "I always wanted to, I needed a break."

Daniel Craig will return as 007 in Bond 25. The actor confirmed he would play James Bond for the fifth time to host Stephen Colbert on The Late Show. Bond 25 will be released in US cinemas on November 8, 2019 with a traditional early release in the UK and the rest of the world.

His hair replacement surgery looks great. But I'm fine with him leaving the series. Sort of tired of this take on Bond. Looking forward to Miles Teller as the new Bond in 26!

When this one performs well below the recent standard those that want him replaced will get their wish.

He says in the interview that this one will be his last.
