Lulu's Theme >>> Jack White/Alicia Keys
It's not the best, but still way more tolerable than the Something of Boris song. In fact, if we get a few more turd songs in the upcoming films, they'll still probably be better then the Jack White/Alicia Keys song.

I like all of the modern Bond themes with Craig, including the Jack White/Alicia Keys song
Maybe it's my younger age and preference in music, because on the flip side I hear the older stuff and think they're atrocious like Live and Let Die

Add one more to the loves Tomorrow Never Dies column, including the theme song.
It's really funny that the technology that sets off that movie is so ubiquitous nowadays when back then it was like, "wow! Global Positioning System!"

After the start of last week’s bidding war with five Hollywood studios, rumors are swirling that as producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of Eon Productions (franchise co-owners with MGM) move closer to nailing down a creative direction for “Bond 25” with screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, the Bond team is leaning indie with their list of potential directors.
Word is, the producers are so pleased with ”Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool,” directed by Scotsman Paul McGuigan (“Sherlock,” “Lucky Number Slevin,” “Victor Frankenstein”), that he too is under consideration. Annette Bening stars as actress Gloria Grahame, who falls in love with a young actor (Jamie Bell).
Broccoli has long preferred to hire directors with arthouse cred over mainstream action specialists, from Oscar-winning “American Beauty” director Sam Mendes (“Spectre” and “Skyfall”) to “Monster’s Ball” director Marc Forster (“Quantum of Solace”). Based on his tenure with the BBC One “Sherlock” series, and his handling of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as Holmes and Watson, McGuigan would be a prime choice for a quirkier yet still compelling spin on Bond.
If Eon is considering directors, they’re moving closer to getting a commitment from co-producer Daniel Craig for his fifth and final Bond appearance — pending script and director approval. Could we see “Bond 25” as soon as 2018?
Last week, when Sony Pictures met with the Bond team they dressed up a soundstage to look like a replica of a “Dr. No” set. Also in the running are Warner Bros., Fox, Universal, and Megan Ellison’s very hot Annapurna.
Since Sony has co-financed and distributed the last four Bond films with Craig as its star, it would appear to have the inside track. The financial terms aren’t lucrative, but at nearly $3.5 billion box office, Bond has been very good to Sony. The last deal gave the studio 25 percent of the profits and a distribution fee in exchange for 50 percent of the production costs plus marketing.
Meanwhile, “Westworld” star Jeffrey Wright teased he might return as CIA chum Felix Leiter, who was absent from the last two movies, “Skyfall” and “Spectre.” And Dave Bautista (“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”) said he would like to reprise his “Spectre” role as henchman Hinx, which also would necessitate the return of Christoph Waltz as Blofeld.
While Purvis and Wade are reportedly working on a script, we don’t know how far along they are. “Each time you’ve got to say something about Bond’s place in the world, which is Britain’s place in the world,” Purvis said when asked how they would place Bond in today’s surreal global nightmare of Trump, Putin, Brexit, and WikiLeaks. “But things are moving so quickly now, that becomes tricky. With people like Trump, the Bond villain has become a reality.”
Added Wade: “But for sure, ‘Spectre’ felt like it closed off a certain way of doing Bond. And I think whatever happens next will be quite different.”

Yesterday I saw something on IMDb Pro, and I shared it on Twitter, not here, because I thought it was nonsense.
Lots of people took it seriously, which only told me I needed to get better at throwing shade.
But today fan account @Bond25Film says that in response to them reaching out for clarification, IMDb confirmed to them that the information on their site is correct. Syncopy, Christopher Nolan's production company, is developing Bond 25.
Now, that could ne IMDb doubling down on bad info; people have to pay for IMDb Pro and it wouldn't be a great look if the site is charging them for false info. Or it could be the way news breaks in this strange new world.
For the record, I bet this is not true. I also think that, if it's true, this is a TERRIBLE idea. Christopher Nolan is a very talented filmmaker, and when he took on Batman Begins in 2005 it was exciting to see a director at his level tackling a franchise, taking it seriously and putting his own stamp on it. But at the same time, we have to recognize that stamp is one of the most asexual in the business, and the world of James Bond is a sensual, sensuous one. Moreover, this is a franchise that has never wanted to tangle with "famous" directors; the franchise is the star, not the director.
I'm all for mixing things up, and maybe this is how Daniel Craig wants to go out, but Spectre sure felt like a Bond-by-auteur endgame, and it felt even more like the end of a particularly dour road for the series. Whatever we were expecting from Bond 25, I think we all agreed things needed to lighten up a bit. Instead, the parts seem to be aligning for a Nolan-esque riff on Ian Fleming's You Only Live Twice as Craig's swan song.

IDK, to me the problem with Spectre wasn't that it was too dour, but it hit every James Bond trope (and not paying homage like Die Another Day; not saying that was a good Bond movie either however) with little to no originality.

On another forum someone with IMDb Pro says the listing has been removed, so apparently it was an error (at this time anyway). Maybe someone there jumped the gun.

IMDb, like Wikipedia, is user created. So take most of that with a grain of salt.

But is IMDb Pro user created? Think they would have a higher standard in what is accepted.

Still takes people to fact check user submissions. Pro has more personal information about actors/actresses which is what you might be paying for.Originally Posted by TheMovieman

Daniel Craig is on the record in saying he’d “rather slash [his] wrists” than play James Bond again, but a new report suggests that the actor will return to the franchise after all. According to the Mirror, Craig will indeed get behind the wheel of the Aston Martin as 007 once more — and Adele might even perform the theme song.
“Craig and Adele together are the winning team, the ultimate choice, the money spinners,” said a source close to the production of Bond 25, according to the Mirror. “It’s taken time but Daniel has come round and the strong con–sensus in the Bond offices is that Mr Craig is 007 again. As for Adele, she’s more of an unknown quantity but loved being part of Bond, so the signs are positive.” In other news, our friends across the pond apparently hyphenate the word “consensus.”
The Mirror reports that producer Barbara Broccoli “is said to have secured” the actor and is “determined” to have Adele return as well; the singer won an Academy Award for performing the “Skyfall” theme song.
A number of other actors have been floated as potential successors to Craig, most notably Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston. Craig’s tenure has so far included “Casino Royale,” “Quantum of Solace,” “Skyfall” and “Spectre.”

^Thats encouraging news although I thought it was already decided that despite his slit wrists comment he was going to return.
And I love Adele and think "Skyfall" is the best Bond song to date so I'm excited to see she may be returning too but I'm not sure the singer of the theme song is as integral to the film's success as that article may lead us to believe.
Either way, good on them.

Craig can sign on or not sign on, but last I heard there was no script, so until they get one of those there's not going to be a James Bond movie anytime soon.

It's always weird to me how there never seems to be a bigger plan for those movies and there's always all this indecision between movies in the franchise. At least lately. I know some of that can be attributed to weird rights issues, but still.

When Cubby Brocoli was producing these we were getting a new Bond film every one to two years and the title of the next film was listed at the end of the credits. As a kid I could get excited it was an odd-numbered year because that meant it was a Bond year. Those days are certainly long gone.

I've thought the same thing. especially with the Bond franchise where another movie is always a given. There's no reason why the next script shouldn't be mapped out and written while the current Bond movie is in production. Actors, directors, etc. should be given multi-picture contract to avoid all the behind the scenes drama that seemingly lasts years...Originally Posted by fumanstan

And if Craig doesn't want to be Bond any more, fine. There should be two or three potential replacements being considered already.
