She was also good in Camp X-Ray. For now this is also in my top 10 of 2017 .

Funny, I consider this a 2016 release. Either way, it's fantastic. It's practically unclassifiable as far as its genre, which is fine but a bit awkward when you're trying to convince someone to see it.

It's on a bunch of critic's top 10 for 2017 list. I guess they're going by US release date which was early 2017.

Clearly. It debuted at Cannes in May 2016, which for me means it's a 2016 release.

Wanted to like this, but gave up half way in. Just didn't find it interesting enough to stick with it.

Conversely, I'm glad I stuck with A Ghost Story, as it significantly picked up after the first 30 minutes.

That cellphone texting sequence was one my least favorite cinematic experiences from last year.

I was frustrated, yet still intrigued and patient with Personal Shopper up until that point.

I thought it was an excellent build up of tension. If Hitchcock were alive he'd probably appreciate it.

Completely agree. I thought it well executed and unnerving.

Spoiler:
As a spiritual medium dealing in vague paranormal responses in the house, her indulgence of this direct method of communication was hard to believe, especially after she’s waited so long to “hear” from her brother. She’s desperate for a response, but not desperate enough to buy into that. The ambiguity never worked, and when it became clearer who was (and wasn’t) on the other end of the texts, her continuation of the conversation stretched credibility ... especially as the assistant to a celebrity who could have any number of dangerous stalkers.

Plus, on the surface, it was just a lot of watching her head pointed down and clacking out texts.

This was a big surprise.
I didn't think I would like it as well as I did.
KS was outstanding.
Recommended.

That is what I thought this was also. May have to check this out. Since it is has drummed up some interest here and I was way off on what it was about.
