Do you prefer Zack Snyder or Michael Bay movies?

Of the ones i've seen from them, i'd have to say Bay (for Rock, Bad Boys 2, and Transformers 1)

I've only seen 3 of snyder's and all 3 are about the same eh'ness (300, MoS, BvS)

Zach Snyder is consistent. I have to be picky when it comes to Bay and sort through the Transformers bullshit before settling on something from him. The last film from Bay that I liked was Pain and Gain. I've yet to see that Bhengazi film.

I like Snyder's visual style over Bay's, so I voted for Zack.

For me, Bay has a higher peak based on the strength of Bad Boys and The Rock - both of those are much better then anything Snyder has put out.

That said, I actually like a lot of Snyder's stuff. I've enjoyed 300, Watchmen, and Man of Steel, with only Sucker Punch being particularly poor to me and Batman V Superman being watchable but not particularly good.

To be honest neither. Snyder can deliver great visuals but can't tell a story to save his life and Bay is good with action but doesn't deliver a lot of substance. I will give Bay some points for Bad Boys, Bad Boys II, and The Rock. Snyder I like Watchmen to some degree, mostly for the visuals and for being pretty faithful to the graphic novel. It still seems like it lacks something though.

Yeah they both lacking.. I enjoy the Rock, Bad Boys, Watchmen and Man of Steel but the most of their films are not quite there

Michael Bay can make a good movie when he has a good script. His style gets too frenetic at times, and he has a tendency towards bombast (BROWSH) but he has a sense of humor and when he does rein things in, he can be very enjoyable.

Snyder is the cinematic equivalent of date rape.

Bay reigned things in decently for 13 Hours (with the exception of one poorly chosen POV bomb shot). IMO, by far Bay's best film in quite a while.

Up until he completely went off his rocker with bloated movies, I was a Bay defender. Most of us films are at least fun to some extent.

The only Snyder films I've liked so far is Dawn of the Dead. I have yet to see another of his films that left even the slightest impression on me. Of all the poor decisions DC and WB have made, sticking with Snyder for the long haul is their biggest mistake.

To Bay's credit, he doesn't seem to take things excessively seriously in his movies, I mean for better or worse he made a comedy about murderers that wind up on death row.

Snyder. Dawn of the Dead, Watchmen, Legend of the Guardians I liked, MoS I am 50/50 on and I liked BvS even though it has too much of the kitchen sink in it (I blame the studio for that). I also like his visual direction. However, his Achille's heel always comes down to the scripts. Unlike a truly great director, he doesn't know how to polish a script. So if the script is meh or crappy, the visuals will be nice but the movie will suffer greatly. He needs to be paired with good writers, not shlock ones like Goyer. I'd also like him to step away from all the damn blockbuster superhero fantasy and do other genre stuff like when he started with Dawn.

Of Bay, I liked The Rock, Transformers 1, and The Island. That's it. I consider Armageddon and Pearl Harbor crimes against my humanity and sanity. Also, I've never cared for his style of directing. And his fetishistic love of the military becomes way too propagandistic way too often.

The Rock is about the only Bay movie worth anything as entertainment.

Watchmen is a misunderstood masterpiece and Dawn of the Dead is probably the best remake of a classic horror movie.

Vote goes to Zack. Love all his movies but 300. Plus he directed a Morrissey video.

Only movie of Bays I like is The Rock, and thats because of Cage and Forsythe. Plus he produces a shit load of garbage.
