Following his titanic struggle against General Zod, Metropolis has been razed to the ground and Superman is the most controversial figure in the world. While for many he is still an emblem of hope, a growing number of people consider him a threat to humanity, seeking justice for the chaos he has brought to Earth. As far as Bruce Wayne is concerned, Superman is clearly a danger to society. He fears for the future of the world with such a reckless power left ungoverned, and so he dons his mask and cape to right Superman's wrongs. The rivalry between them is furious, fueled by bitterness and vengeance, and nothing can dissuade them from waging this war. However, a dark new threat arises in the form of a third man: one who has a power greater than either of them to endanger the world and cause total destruction.

When people tweet "BvS was AMAZING!" then follow it up with "BETTER than Man of Steel!" that's pretty faint praise. :(

In the right context, that can be meaningful praise. If someone was able to see the many flaws in MoS, and feels that BvS corrects those mistakes, then it gives me hope. But if someone liked MoS a lot, and likes BvS even more, that could mean Snyder just piled on more of what was wrong with the first movie.

One way or the other, I'll know for myself on Thursday.

Saw it last night. Liked it a lot. Came in wary cause of my disliking MoS. This was much better than MoS. it's not perfect as it tries a bit too hard to be almost Wagnerian Ooera a few times. But overall I was hugely entertained. Lex Luthor was fine and BatFleck was actually quite great in a more Dark Knight Returns (aka pissed off) way.

And I gotta give a shout-out for Wonder Woman. No, Gadot isn't some great actress but she's good enough to be a convincing WW. She really does steal the show. As a WW fan, I was completely sold. This is the WW I've been waiting for on the big screen.

I did. They showed it in IMAX 2-D which surprised me. And it looked gorgeous! I'd see more IMAX if I could option for 2-D.

I've suspected this all along and its definitely one of the things that makes me wary about this film.
