Haley Joel Osment winning the lifetime achievement award was long in coming but well deserved. Too bad age was not kind to him.

I think The Revenant is going to sweep the big awards: Best Pic, Best Director, Best Actor
Stallone and Vikander for Best Supporting roles, Larson seems like a lock for Best Actress, and Spotlight will take Original Screenplay while Big Short will take Adapted Screenplay.
Mad Max will win alot of technical awards.

How about when George Lucas took J.J. Abrams hostage at gunpoint and threatened to kill him, and they had to get Ahmed Best to use the Jar Jar voice to talk him out of it? Wow, that was crazy.

My predictions:
#OscarSoWhite people will sneak peeks of the show at minute 1:02:05 and 2:03:05.
Jada Pinkett Smith will tweet something on her account that only people who's watching the show would know.

Predicting a mixed bag for the winners w Revenant and Mad Max splitting Pic/director. Hoping for Sly and Leo wins, and that we won't be subjected to too many acceptance speeches that go off the rails.
Rock should have some fun with his opening.

And if Inarritu does win, it's bullshit, because (technical aspects aside), he's just not that great a director.

That's what a meant about being good technically. Actual good directors, even with poor scripts, bring out something more than just the surface, which is all Inarritu seems to do with his, frankly, shallow movies.
