Surprised, but deserving. Spotlight was really good.

If I had to pick a self important message picture to win I would have gone with The Big Short I guess but Spotlight is ok

We might not agree with his politics or how the media has come to his rescue this year but the fact is DiCaprio can act his ass off. I don't want to see another Peter O'Toole or Richard Burton deal again in my lifetime.

First time I've agreed with the BP winner since No Country. I'm still in shock.

Its the white peoples version of Oscar Racism. If the blacks are gonna bitch about issues whites have the right to have their own protests as well.

Depends on who you ask.

2011 had The King's Speech winning over the much more deserving Social Network, but not everybody agrees with that.

I only saw the last hour or so of the show, but it would certainly appear they did their utmost to appease the black community and all the butthurt I'd been reading about.

I was rooting for MM... but I was cool with any of the other nominees... with the exception of the unexceptional and flat The Revenant.

Leo's character in the Revenant never had a kid. Tom Hardy's character never killed anyone. Hence, the Revenant defamed a real life figure for the sake of a more interesting story.

That wasn't a shock at all. It won the Golden Globe, the DGA, the PGA, the SAG and the BAFTA. It was a travesty but hardly unexpected.

Crash over Brokeback was the last true BP upset (and another travesty)
