Deadpool 2: Electric Boogaloo - blah blah blah

Re: Deadpool 2: Electric Boogaloo - blah blah blah
Of course I can - I've mentioned it in every single one of my posts. But we'll have to wait and see what ends up in the final product. Height differences with actors/actresses have been managed for years.
Just curious - Blu - who would you have cast?
People keep mentioning Lang and Lundgren. Lang is same height as Brolin. I'd rather have Brolin than Lundgren, acting-wise, although i would definitely have given lundgren a chance just because he fits the part well physically.

How about D'Onofrio.. he has the talent and the size (6'4) and I doubt he'd be opposed to getting ripped.

I mean, for physical looks only, i saw someone on another site mention Mike O'Hearn (Titan on the American Gladiators remake a few years back, a few acting credits). But then, you lose basically any real acting abilities:
Yep, got the thighs right. Look at all that real estate for POUCHES!

Lang was my #1 choice then rounding out the Top 3 would have been Ron Perlman and then Dolph. Brolin was never on my radar.
Hell, i'm sure he's going to rock as Thanos, but that's gonna be thanks to the CGI.

Heath Ledger sucks! He played a gay cowboy!
Gal Gadot sucks! Too skinny!
Josh Brolin sucks! Too short and skinny!
I'll be back when the movie hits, and everyone is saying how great he is.

He needs some body armor, preferably one with an X symbol.

People complained about Gadot being too skinny?

I agree he doesn't have to be that muscular but they could have went with someone a bit more built or had Brolin build up some more. Obviously comic proportions for certain characters are exaggerated like in that picture but I still think in the picture of Brolin as Cable he looks a bit too small.

Yup, she put on a bit more weight. Did you miss her in FF7? was it when she was in the bikini and went after the guys finger print. She was far too skinny. Not attractive at all, at least to me.
But now in WW she lights up the room and looks much more healthier.

It looks like the movie executives got both castings wrong. Cable and Domino don't look good at all and each character's design is an integral part of their popularity.
That was the one nice thing that struck me about the first Deadpool when I saw it. They pretty much copied everyone's look from the comics.

Anyway, I think Josh Brolin looks like Cable. I never expected a movie Cable to be Lou Ferrigno/Ronnie Coleman status. I thought the more important physical aspect was to have this grizzled older vet look. Brolin fits that part to me, and he looks built. Tom Hardy is shorter than Christian Bale but that worked out in the end.
I can see Ron Perlman being a better fit for Cable and pushing Deadpool around. Lang has the face, but he seems smaller to me than Brolin for some reason.

Even Gal thought she was too skinny...

GG: A lot. Since I've started, I've gained about 17 pounds, and it's all muscle. I feel so much better now. When you feel strong, it changes everything—your posture, the way you walk. I look at photos from five years ago and think, Whoa, I was too skinny. It's not cool.

After we just got through people flipping shit about Gal Gadot's casting and then eating crow once WW came out, they're doing it again with Cable and Josh Brolin.

What else are we to do with our time?
"Brolin looks great."
"Yep."
"..."
I don't really care about his appearance, since I never read the comics. He looks fine to me. The debate is somewhat interesting, and brings up things that I never would have known otherwise.

You can just as easily find actors cast that didn't work out.
