Likely a percentage of the Box Office. Obviously Downey JR can pretty much call his own shots. He essentially built the MCU.

Definitely not 2016 as the two movies then are confirmed to be Captain America 3 and Doctor Strange. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is confirmed for 2017, but we don't know the second movie yet. It is probably Thor 3 though. I would say Iron Man 4 is most likely for 2018.

Well, the build to Avengers 3+ just got even more interesting. Glad Stark won't be fading into the background.

Eh... I was fine with him just being in The Avengers... I'd much rather them focus on introducing new characters in solo movies.

If they're doing Avengers 3 in two parts (or having the second film be the "crossover event" with a title like "Infinity Gauntlet") as is being speculated, they'd have to negotiate with him to appear in that anyway, so why not tack on another Iron Man film or two to the deal? Makes sense.

Shane Black was an uncredited screenwriter on the first two IM flicks. I actually enjoyed IM3 a great deal. IM2 is the crappy one.

Bold statement: I like all the Iron Man movies.

Sure, Iron Man 1 is by far the greatest, but 2 and 3 are not terrible. They are enjoyable popcorn flicks. Every movie doesn't have to be The Godfather. I like all the MCU movies released so far.

At least part 2 had Iron Man in it. The third one should've been called Tony Stark since everyone else wears his suit until the finale, which was very forgettable. And don't forget the annoying little shit kid.

IM2 also had the always awesome Sam Rockwell and Rourke hamming it up.

Best Marvel movie.
