Kind of wished Stallone would head to a different direction while writing the sequel. It's a bit preposterous to have the whole Rocky/Creed timeline point to some sort of family vendetta where it's easily assumed someone's relative of the characters in the past movies would become a boxer and just to get even.

Yeah, the premise sounds pretty silly and uninspired to me.

Of course, I thought a movie about Apollo Creed's son to begin with was ridiculous but it worked

There are so many more opponents from the first film that should get a piece of Creed before he goes after the son of Drago.

On the surface, it seems like a bad idea--aren't we skipping the part where Adonis actually wins the big fight? But perhaps there is a way to make it work. You could have Creed fighting for a vacant title since the previous champ went to jail, and as a way to stir up interest in a fight with low interest since it's for a paper title, essentially, the promoter could bring in Drago to work the opponent's corner or something to make things "personal." It's not perfect, but the whole scenario of involving Drago is a reach to begin with.

I got a better script. Adnois becomes world champ and a new undefeated fighter steps up...Mr. T's son. Mr. T is now a pastor and he's a changed man, but his son is a undefeated boxing street thug. Then Mr. T's son gives Balboa trouble which causes a heart attack and we get a Balboa flashback of Mickey when he died at the locker room. This ignites Adonis to train harder then fight Mr. T's son.

Drago's son can come for Creed 3.

A 7 film franchise with no CGI, where no matter how old and beat up the faces are , they are STILL real faces. I'm gonna have to embrace part 8 with open arms on that basis alone. Creed was really good, so who knows.

It's a rematch more than 30 years in the making ... Rocky Balboa vs. Ivan Drago -- and it's GOING DOWN in "Creed 2," so says Sylvester Stallone.

Sly teased that Drago's coming back to the big screen for the "Creed" sequel -- but no one's really sure what the storyline will be.

Now, another clue ... with Stallone telling TMZ Sports things are definitely going to get violent between Rocky and Drago -- "You know I gotta hit Drago once."

Of course, Drago -- played by Dolph Lundgren -- killed Apollo Creed in "Rocky IV." And the rumblings are that Adonis Creed will fight Drago's kid to get revenge.

I hope it starts with the match between Creed Jr and Andre Ward.

So a kid who wasn't raised by his dad is trying to exact revenge against a guy's kid he doesn't know? Also, the Russian kid has NOTHING to do with jack shit... but I'm sure he's a steroid taking jackass and we'll all hate him cuz Russia (and Trump).

And it's been awhile since I've seen it but I thought Rocky and Drago ended up with a kind of mutual respect for each other at the end of Rocky IV.

For a long time I thought Rocky V was a terrible note to end the series on. Then we got 2 really good movies. Creed would have been a perfect swan song. But now Apollo Jr vs Drago jr. I dunno man, we're creepin towards Rocky V again.

I kind of mentioned it in my earlier post but, to me, Rocky's story ended with Rocky Balboa. IMO, Creed is a new chapter to the series and doesn't tarnish Rocky in any way. Rocky's story started and ended and can stand on its own.

I'm all for seeing Drago in the film, some kind of tense reunion between him and Rocky would be great...maybe even as the trainer for Creed's opponent could work. But anything beyond that would be bad....awful. I doubt Cooglar would even accept that idea (if they are indeed waiting for him to either produce/direct)...but this could be the Stallone show again - acting, writing, directing, etc.

if Rocky and Creed fight it's beyond stupid. Not only are they old as shit (and they've made Rocky look even more feeble), but they didn't necessarily "hate" each other at the end of Rocky 4.

If you're hired to be in a movie, you'd start hitting the gym immediately too, regardless if you had some action scenes.

Probably not in the ring? and since it involves the sons I guess it could make sense why there is an escalation.
