A John Carpenter 'shared universe'
Not not all of his films existing in the same reality but maybe two or three of them?
Imagine Jack Crow meeting Snake Plisskin somewhere between NY & LA timelines battling vampires who wanna kill the president only to find out the president is actually an alien in disguise. Now they can't exactly team UP with the vampires but they discover they now have a mutual enemy but need someone who knows a thing or two about the situation. Enter John Nada, who survived the roof shoot out in "They Live" and continued fighting the elite when their "disguise" was only revealed to a small percentage of Los Angeles and they used the media to help cover up the "alien hoax." Crow, Plisskin and Nada must team together to fight against the alien overloards while driving stakes through the hearts of the undead who get in their way. In an ideal world James Woods, Kurt Russell and Roddy Piper star (a pipe dream now sadly) with Carpenter directing with a decent sized budget. Thoughts? |

Re: A John Carpenter 'shared universe'
John Carpenters movies are not ones I see as being in any kind of shared universe. I see your examples/assumptions, but they aren't linked in any coherent manner that would make me think his universe is shared. I'm fairly certain Carpenter doesn't see it that way either.

Sounds like a Youtube fanfilm.

Yes this is absolutely a fangasm and would be a stretch to make into a live action film. Perhaps an animated film or comic book series would work better though if animated, [again ideally] all 3 actors would provide voice work |
Re: A John Carpenter 'shared universe'
Again, no.
Talking about Vampires. It's streaming on Netflix... and I think Amazon Instant, free w/ prime. |
Re: A John Carpenter 'shared universe'
I'd like to see a film of Michael Myers chopping up the little blonde girl from Assault on Precinct 13.

Re: A John Carpenter 'shared universe'
I'd like to see Lo Pan, Wilfred Brimley, and Michael Myers in a Lemon Party.

Look what Marvel hath wrought

Re: A John Carpenter 'shared universe'
To be fair they aren't exactly linked but Carpenter does have a set of films that are considered a trilogy. The Apocalypse Trilogy consists of The Thing, Prince of Darkness, and In the Mouth of Madness.

I just want the universe where John Carpenter still makes good movies.

And at the end, Jeff Bridges comes back as Starman to take them to Mars. Unfortunately, after the credits, a clip shows there are ghosts on Mars. And Ice Cube.

Re: A John Carpenter 'shared universe'
Is the OP Mike Allred, the comic artist/writer/creator of iZombie and Madman?
