Delaying Captain Marvel sucks but I'm really excited for this. Amazing we get an Ant man 2 and still no Hulk sequel.

Age of Ultron felt a little tired to me, but I really enjoyed Ant-Man a lot. |

with the Hulk, heard there is a rights issue with Universal.

Put some life into those colors, get a villain to give a damn about, and get a better script. Otherwise... I'm down for another film.
I really really hated how dull the film looks, took out a lot of life in the skin tones and in some of the environments. |

Nonsense. Look how much color they took out of skin tones in AM. AoU looked fine. It had a color palette to play in but they didn't take out the life out of the skin and some locations like AM. The Falcon fight is a good example of how much they neutralized the colors.

It looks worse when they're in the Pym facility. Add in that the grays looked dull in there too. It seems like a pointless thing to do to the color grading of skin and environments. Dunnow wtf Reed was going for there.

I'm relying on Snake to pressure The Academy of Arts and Sciences for introducing the "Best Color Palette" Oscar.

"Ant-Man and The Wasp" sounds like a terrible morning radio show.

Cool. I loved Ant-Man.
My question is, "Will Michael Douglas be back?" |

Awesome, happy to see the Wasp get billing too. Interesting to see Marvel add this in their schedule, sounds like they were pretty happy with how the first movie performed. I never thought Ant-Man looked dull at all.

The colors were fine. I don't want cartoony bright colors on these comic book tv/Film costumes |

Ant-Man just made 43m in China, so it is at 454m and counting. I would say it is safe to say that Disney made the right choice moving forward with a sequel. Crazy that a film many thought was a genuine risk for Marvel to make is approaching 500m.

re: Ant-Man & The Wasp (7/6/18) - News, rumors, etc.
Marvel Studios is getting busy with its deal-making. Less than two weeks after dating a slew of movies including an Ant-Man sequel for 2018, the studio is in negotiations with Peyton Reed to return as director of Ant-Man and the Wasp. It marks one of the first deals surrounding Marvel’s recently dated movies. In addition to Ant-Man and the Wasp, those films include Black Panther -- which moved up from July 6, 2018, to a Feb. 16, 2018 -- and Captain Marvel, which was pushed out from Nov. 2, 2018, to March 8, 2019. The studio also scheduled three untitled movies for 2020. It wasn’t immediately clear that a sequel to the tentpole about the world's smallest hero, played by Paul Rudd, would be part of Phase 3, but the movie and the character proved quite popular. Domestically, the film took in $178 million to become one of the top 10 movies of the year, and it also did solid business overseas. And, in a big heap of icing on the cake, Ant-Man made a huge showing in China over the weekend, earning $43.2 million for an updated worldwide total of $455 million. There are no writers yet for the sequel. Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish, Adam McKay and Rudd were the credited writers on the first go, and it is all but certain Wright and Cornish won't be back for the sequel. The character will be seen next in 2015's Captain America: Civil War. Disney will release the sequel on July 6, 2018. Reed is repped by WME and Sloane Offer. |
