Toy Story 3 & 4, Schindler's List, Moonlight, If Beale Street Could Talk. Stuff where deep bonds of love are juxtaposed with the nadir of human cruelty and injustice.

Great thread topic!
For me, the two movies which emotionally impacted me growing up I will never forget are "The Champ" (Voight/Schroeder) and "E.T."

The aforementioned Field of Dreams.
Also Ordinary People especially the end with Tim Hutton and Donald Sutherland.

I've seen Dancer in the Dark once and will never watch it again. It wrecked me and I couldn't stop thinking about it for days.

Honestly, the movie that may have given me the biggest emotional impact on me was Never Too Young To Die.
The emotion was anger. Anger and embarrassment that I spent money on that Godawful amateurish mess. Such a horrible movie...
Yeah, that movie definitely elicited an emotional response!

The ending of Schindler's List, where hundreds of people leave a stone on the grave marker. I'm getting choked up typing this.
Grave of the Fireflies. I have watched it twice, the second time because I wanted to show it to Mrs Danger. I don't expect there will be a third time.
I am surprised by the number of votes in the 2014 part of the thread for a couple of movies that I thought were failures.

Revenge (1990)
Such an underrated Tony Scott and Kevin Costner movie.
Oh man, this movie really resonated with me. Forbidden love story and a tragic death.
The last scene with Kevin Costner and Madeline Stowe
Spoiler:
I welled up like a baby.
I have the Director's Cut DVD and need to watch it again.
I had a crush on Madeline Stowe circa 1990s and she looked really gorgeous in this movie.

I saw Schindler's List when I was really young and didn't understand the full gravitas of the film. Now I'm married with kids, and I picked up the Blu-ray and a couple years ago, I watched it alone downstairs. In the scene when...
...I started screaming in rage and wailing in despair. My spouse ran downstairs two flights because she thought I'd gotten injured or something. I was inconsolable for at least fifteen minutes. I finished the film that night, but I haven't watched it since. I will eventually but I'm in no rush.

Thought I was watching a fantasy genre movie, but the movie had a huge curveball that hit me hard. And to find out it’s loosely based on the book author’s life made more of an impact.

We go to the movie in the theater because it looks good. About ten minutes in, I realize this movie is the book and I tell my wife I want to leave, I dont want to see this. She is, of course, rightfully confused, because I'm suddenly crying the minutes into the movie in anticipation of the ending. We stayed and she found out why I didn't want to stay.
We have the DVD. I don't think we've ever watched it.

Seeing Schindler’s List for the second time on special broadcast tv. Uncut, I believe. Cried like a baby. Brooklyn too, but for different reasons...

Saving Private Ryan, specifically the scene where Corporal Upham is unable to overcome his fear to help Private Melish in the knife fight with the Greman soldier. Even though he redeems himself later by killing the German, I was so heartbroken by Melish's death and so angry at Upham's cowardess, I couldn't forgive the character no matter what he did to redeem himself. It was just a gut punch.

Pretty much everything from Red getting out of prison until the end of Shawshank.
Close second is the scene where Luke burns Vader’s body.

The first time I watched Field of Dreams after my Dad died was like watching an entirely different movie.
I’m willing to watch almost any movie once but I purposely steer clear of “Dogs dying” movies because I know I’ll be devastated.
