I thought the original Jeepers Creepers was one of the best horror movies I'd seen in years, no happy ending and I loved it for that. The second one was good, not quite as good as the first one but still good. The ending left me hoping they'd make a 3rd one with

Filming hasn't begun, has it? Has this even been officially announced? I've been hearing about this movie for years with no actual progress being made towards actually, you know, filming the fucking thing.

I'll have a moral dilemma if/when JC3 is released. I saw the first two before I knew anything about Salva. Now that I know about him I'm not sure I care to support anything by him.

I tend to agree but think about how many pedos and pervs make films in Hollywood today, right now. The way I see it, I'm judging a film on its own merit and not that of who's behind it.

Having just watched review copies of JC and JC2 the other day I have to say I would be game for a third, assuming Salva can do it right. In one of the interviews on the bonus disc he mentions having a script for "JC1.2", which would take place in the few days between the first and second film. That sounds stupid as hell. Set it in the future with Wise, or far in the past, but don't go back to a setting we've had twice.

I care about Victor Salva's personal life about as much as I care about Orson Scott Card's personal life, which is to say.....not much. I like Salva's movies about as much as I like Card's books, which is to say.....quite a bit.

While I think Victor Salva is probably a pedophile and horrible human being, if I were to stop watching movies based on the character of the people involved, I'd never watch anything. Looking forward to this one.

I remember watching part of Powderon cable, and something about it gave me the willies, and that was before I even knew about Salva's history.

"Powder" has a lot going on under the surface, and you wonder if this speaks to how he consciously or unconsciously views his life and situation; after all, it's about a sensitive, misunderstood outcast who has much to contribute, who's destroyed but ascends.

Well a lot of talk for a while and then suddenly it has a release date.....of next month. Thats a surprise. I really enjoyed the first two movies, and as someone pointed out, the sequence from the first movie is based upon some real events which makes it even creepier.

As for Salva, again as someone has mentioned, if we judged everyone in Hollywood (or even the entertainment industry) by their past deeds no one would ever see a movie or listen to music. I recall reading about what happened, but i am not fully aware of all details and events so its hard for me to make a judgement call. If he got time and served it then i guess he paid his dues....to some extent. Plenty that literally get away with murder... of their wife and a waiter.

I will be curious to check this movie out and see if it was worth the wait.

In 2006, the movie was "announced" and was tentatively called Jeepers Creepers 3: The Creeper Walks Among Us. MGM had originally planned to release the movie direct to DVD, but was unable to find proper financing. The movie's script was written by director Victor Salva, with the new title Jeepers Creepers 3: Cathedral.

For nine more years, the film faced many false starts and setbacks, with Victor Salva saying "the film has came close many times to going before the cameras, and I hope someone sees the wisdom in shooting this".

Officially on September 11, 2015, the movie got the green light to start filming from Myriad Pictures, and was to begin filming in early 2016. However, before filming could begin in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canadian talent agencies sent out an alert to warn others about Victor Salva's criminal past, and then the casting calls were removed, which halted the production. However, producer Stan Spry assured a fan on Twitter that the movie was not cancelled.

In January 2017, it was confirmed the film was back in pre-production and that filming would begin in February 2017 in Louisiana, instead of Canada as originally planned. Principal photography finally began on February 15, 2017 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As of April 18, 2017, filming has been completed.

The idea of squeezing this one between the first two sounds beyond stupid to me. We already know they aren't stopping him.

Picking things up after the end of 2 with Wise's character would've been the way to go.

But then, Salva hasn't been known to make great decisions...
