Re: Movies that feature actual comic books
Trailers are great for comic book spotting. Three or four of the examples I've found were because I saw the comics in the trailer.
I haven't seen that one either, but here's a slightly better screenshot from my copy of the movie.
It looks like the comic is in two scenes in the movie. You only see the cover in the first one.
Here's what I've seen recently. Neither one was worth bumping the thread.

In The Ambulance (1990) Eric Roberts plays a comic book artist working at Marvel Comics.
You get to see various Marvel Comics characters.
In case Stan Lee doesn't count for this thread by himself...
Later we see some comics in the Roberts character's apartment.
One more shot.

^ I'm interested in watching this movie after reading the synopsis on IMDB. Doesn't seem like something you can easily rent, though.

I just happened to catch it on a Roku streaming channel called Shockwerks TV (it's like American Horrors, but better - they start the movies every two hours like B-Movie TV). There's always

This sleazy backwoods jailhouse guard in Country Blue (1973) is reading a copy of Ghost Stories #34 (Dell - October, 1972).

Here's a zoomed in shot (from a second later than the one I posted, without the teddy bear) compared with the cover (slanted, blurred, de-colored, etc.).

That's a copy of Little Audrey TV Funtime #7 (Harvey - March, 1964) under Batman.
Here's the other comics that were on sale the same month as the Batman and Little Audrey comics to help them out.

Re: Movies that feature actual comic books
I haven't watched Bronx Tale in ages and the computer commercial about the musical version on TV made me want to pop the DVD in and watch it.
The story takes place in 1960 but the Human Fly comic is from 1978.
Human Fly #8 April 1978
I haven't had a chance to see which issues of Superboys those are yet. The one in the middle looks hard since the cover is folded over.

Re: Movies that feature actual comic books
The opening credits for Robot Monster are superimposed over a pile of comic books. Aside from the one copy of Strange Suspense Stories with its title changed to "Robot Monster," they're all real comics, so I think it deserves a mention.

This next one, Poltergeist, I noticed on a YouTube video which included scenes from the movie. I checked here and saw that it had been mentioned early in the thread, but we didn't have any pics. So here's some pics.
Captain America #259 (Marvel - July, 1981)
Richie Rich #202 (Harvey - May, 1981) & Madhouse Comics #125 (Archie - Aug, 1981)

In one scene in The Curse (1987), the dimwitted kid is reading a copy of Laugh #233 (August, 1970), and has a copy of Laugh #173 (August, 1965) and some other comic sitting on his leg.

Here's George Sanders in Future Women (Rio 70, The Girl from Rio, Die sieben Männer der Sumuru, etc.) (1969), enjoying Popeye #84 (King - Feb, 1967). I assume the cover was switched to the back of the book to make it easier to see.
