As much as I don't care for seeing the murder of Thomas and Martha again, nitpicking Thomas lunging seems so silly to me.

What the fuck are you talking about? He doesn't lunge at him in a single one of those! Or if by "lunging" you mean just standing there, or moving in front of the gun to shield his family. Learn how to read comics.

I don't really know much about him but apparently you lot hate this Umberto Gonzalez. I just ran across this in my regular bs. But he does come off as a fake piece of shit from what I glanced at from that video.
Anyway... some video he posted said that Affleck has total control on his Bats film w/ Geoff Johns as consultant.

Many, if not most, members of Batman's rogue's gallery will be making appearances in the film. It's going to be crammed with Bat villains, which means that just about every major bad guy you've ever wanted to see in a movie will be in this movie. According to my sources Affleck and Geoff Johns, who has been working with him on the film, want to make the definitive Batman film. They want to tell the ultimate Batman story, and to do so they're going to bring in all the big guns. They're going to have a big, sprawling Bat universe already in place.

Maybe some type of pseudo-adaptation of Arkham Asylum?

Cool. If there was one major problem with the Joel Schumacher Batman flicks, it was : Too Few Villains!

Re: The Batman (D: Ben Affleck)
If it's done where Batman is at Arkham for a while and sees some of his rogues locked up then fine but otherwise it seems unnecessary. Are they not learning from the mistakes of Batman V Superman to not try and cram a bunch of shit in? I have more confidence in Affleck than I do Snyder but it still sounds like a questionable move.

Yeah. If this an Arkham thing.. it can work... maybe. But... it's Affleck directing it and writing it. Soooo... I've faith in that over Snyder and Goyer working together doing whatever the fuck you want to call their mediocre storytelling skills are.

With this and Suicide Squad DC/Warners are doing a bang up job of setting up the DC Villains Movie Universe. Shame about the Heroes side of it.
After the great Batman games in recent years, and of course story lines like Arkham Asylum i think this is a good route to go. A few years ago they were talking about the possible Green Arrow movie SuperMax with him wrongly accused and locked up in a high security prison with a bunch of villains, having to prove his innocence and escape. I loved the sound of that, and would love to have seen it as a movie. Having something similar with Batman would work really well. I am actually really interested in seeing where this movie goes.

I've been pushing for them to do Grant Morrison's Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth as a solo Batman movie since it was divulged that the DCEU Batman has been Around in the universe for a long time.
On the negative side, it's pretty much a horror story that's based around Through the Looking Glass and seasoned with Morrison's occult obsessions, so the folks who think Man of Steel and Dawn of Justice are too dark probably won't be happy.

While my mind first went to the Arkham Asylum graphic novel, I wouldn't be surprised if they want to capitalize on the immensely popular video game version, as well.

I like the story of Morrison's Arkham Asylum but have never really cared for the art style. It sort of fits the horror nature of the story but it's just not my style really. I'm inclined to agree that the Rocksteady games will probably influence the film as it seemed like that's where a lot of the inspiration for the character in Batman V Superman came from.

If the above is true, I hope the C-Lists villains get their moment.
SignalMan, Calendar Man, Cat-Man, Prof Milo, Dr. Double X, Zebra Man, Polka-Dot Man, Killer Moth,
and the Cavalier deserve their 15 minutes of fame.
A mega bar fight scene like in the B:TB&TB episode "A Bat Divided" would be a sweet scene for me.

I actually really like the art in Arkham Asylum, I like how abstract it was. It really invoked a certain uncomfortable tone and inspired the imagination which isn't something I got out many other comic books. I thought Arkham Asylum was one of the few challenging, and more rewarding graphic novels I have read.
