I don't think it is a straight up origin "Begins" style. But it they want to cast a younger version in their 20-30s.

Because if they want an actor to play Batman for 10 years, they probably don't want someone who will be pushing 60 at the end of the run.

See, I don't have a problem with that at all. What's wrong with a series about an adult Wayne/BM? Why do we have to keep resetting the clock every time they decide to remake the franchise?

Or cast Jon Hamm if Affleck didn't want to continue.

And no, it's not going to be another origin story, just showing Batman early in his career.

Curious to know when casting will be announced. I guess they could go for the splash during Comic Con in July(?) but that's not Warner/DC's style any more with all of those announcements they did a few years back that will not to fruition (i.e. Flashpoint).

I don’t know why some people are hung up on Affleck still. He’s out, Reeves has said this was going to be a younger version of the character for a while now. The idea of this being a film with an older Batman probably ended when Affleck dropped out as director.

Doesn’t mean they won’t show them getting killed AGAIN in dreams or something. They showed it in BvS which and that isn’t an origin.
